Title: What's your range here? Post by: pswnio on October 22, 2007, 02:41:10 AM One of them Stars 180s. $20. Down to the final 7. You're the short stack - 16k in chips. Next is 24k, chip leader 60k, the rest around about the 40k mark. Blinds are at 600/1200 with an ante of 125. The table has been averagely aggressive and you've moved up from about 10k in chips through a few pushes, although you've lost your blinds most of the time through a combination of having gack and facing a raise.
Are you pushing with any two in any unopened pot? Or, with 16k, is your policy to wait for a resteal opportunity? Those on 40k may not fancy calling a push for 12k... Post by: Ironside on November 09, 2007, 11:38:42 AM a resteal might get through depends on the amount of orginal steal i suppose but if someone is putting in a pot size steal bet of around 5k they are likely to call when the short stack pushes for 11k more getting nearly 2-1 but then again it depends on the quailty of the players
Title: Re: What's your range here? Post by: boldie on November 09, 2007, 11:43:37 AM find a hand to double up is my standard answer with more than 10 BB's. A resteal might go through but I doubt it. In late position you have to try to nick the blinds though.
Title: Re: What's your range here? Post by: TheChipPrince on November 09, 2007, 11:47:21 AM I'm not looking to re-steal here, unless i have a genuine hand, you will get called by too many 'OK' hands... Cut Off or button, push with virtually any 2... UTG/UTG +1/UTG+2 not looking to push, unless, again, without something genuine... Middle positions, push into weak opponents...

Post by: doubleup on November 09, 2007, 04:10:46 PM I'm not looking to re-steal here, unless i have a genuine hand, What's ppls thoughts on "genuine hands" for reraising here? Obv its player dependent but perhaps two categories of opponents - "Any player/position" and "laggy player or button raiser" Any player for me would be AQ+, 77+ Laggy/button would be any pair. AT+ Too tight? Too loose? Title: Re: What's your range here?
