The ONLY reason I would even consider saying yes, is so I could watch successful players and learn from them. I would NEVER use the facility for financial gain. Would be interesting to know how many of the 'yes' votes were strictly for financial gain and how many were thinking along the lines of 'watch and learn'. Maybe I'm a bit naive, but I'd like to think there's more to the 'yes' votes than plain greed.

No - the thought of actually stealing does it for me - I couldn't take their money and enjoy it if I've done it unfairly.
Although I would do it once just to see if it was true, and then just once more to check the first time was correct....I think human nature dictates that we check the information - or is it just me? You sometimes say to yourself "I'd love to know what my opponent has" as he pushes all in. But I love this game and part of the game is the battle of wits and the satisfaction of 'getting it right'. I don't play very big stakes on-line, but even if I had the opportunity to use a cheat in a big stake game I would not do it. If I get my decision wrong its all part of the learning curve which makes this great game great.

But human nature being what it is will dictate that most people would have a look, even just the once, so they could know if they were right or not. Same way in most players always make that last call, just so they can know. |
