Title: Foreign Investment
Post by: dan on October 28, 2007, 10:13:44 AM
With the Glazer's plunging Man Utd into massive debts and stories in the press, albeit the news of the world that Liverpool could be going the same way.

Chelsea have built a good side from Abramovich's millions but end up paying the price by sacking/forcing out arguably their best ever manager. I do think that the situation at Chelsea is slightly different to Man Utd's and Liverpool because Abraovich seems to have a bottomless pit.

A couple of months ago I was actually hoping that we would get taken over and have some money pumped into the club but after the club announced record profits I am glad the board have announced a lockdown .

Is foreign investment a good thing that is coming into our game??

I cannot see the potential for return on the investment by the mega rich taking over premiership clubs, Surely if its all about the money, they should buy up championship clubs and pump the money into them to get up with the big boys and make shit loads .... someone buy Burnley FFS, surely a sleeping giant just waiting to be awoken ;)

Not sure about Burnley, but I think that could be the idea behind MYFC.co.uk The only thing premiership clubs have is a global brand, u always here Kenyon going on about it at chelsea, but Arsenal & Chelski are miles behind Manyoo and Liverpool, but if they keep winning stuff then they wont be far behind

Arsenal are not miles behind Liverpool with regards to international branding - DUCY?
