Bainn recently posted that after 21 years of playing poker that he finally hit a Royal flush,this got me thinking how many Royals have all of you had since you've been playing.
I've been playing just over 2 years (mainly on line) and have had 4 Royals.It got me thinking how many have you lot had and how long have you been playing????

I've been playing for about 18 months and had my first and (so far) only Royal Flush last week.

Just one. Although I've dealt one as well...

Ive been playing 3 1/2 years and have had 3 royal flushes, ironically ive never had a royal flush over the age of 18 so all of my royals have been illegal ones lol.


I was once in a tourney in mid position with QJc and was about to raise until chappy to my right raises so i refuse to play. The flop of course comes out AK10c :(

been playing 2ish years.

2 in the same week on betfred and once live at luton, all in on the bubble with 10 jc flop kc qc x turn Ac.

Been playing for 3 years and i have hit 6 royals.

3 live (2 in home games, one in casino)
3 online ( 2 of which happened in 2 weeks of each other, think it was tribecca, one of VC, other on PPP, the other was on blonde not long ago).

Those are just ones i have personally hit, seen at least twice that number happen to other people, mostly online, mate hit a straight flush live not too far back, thats impressive enough in a live game.

Funnily enough, Sam had one yesterday on Sky site.  I've never had one.  Both been playing playing 10 months.

Had 3, all within a couple of months too.

I can honestly say that i can't remember how many i have had, my guess would be about 10 all online. Playing speed sng's you often miss that you hit the royal flush or just glad you won the hand irrespective.

I had one playing that micky mouse poker game vs the dealer in the casino 4 weeks before they introduced the Jackpots :( I got £800 for it when the bank had a pair of 4's.

I posted last week as well, got my first ever in probably 2 years of playing.. Never live

I've been playing short of 2 years and only had one in Omaha - never had one in hold em.  I did get two straight flushes in the space of three hands on a sit n go a few months ago though :D

In 9 years had 4 royal flushes and 3 of them were live poker , only one on t'internet

The first was in a £5/£10 cash game and I won a pot of approx £1500 plus got a £300 bonus for having a royal flush. Happy days :)

Playing since .... (well for a long long time) and only ever had one and that was on Blonde 10cent/20cent table not so long ago when there was only two of us and I won 40cents

The best of these without doubt was when playing live at the Broadway in Birmingham.  I held  Jd  Qd in a multi-way pot and the FLOP came down....

Nice pot and meal for two in the restaurant. Wonder what the odds are of actually FLOPPING the coconuts!

I've been playing for about 20 months and I haven't got one yet.

Statistically, from the amount that I play, I know that I shouldn't have got one yet anyway - but it's still not fair  :(

What's a bit more odd is that I've never even seen one being dealt, the closest I've come is playing and hearing that somebody on another table had just hit one.

I've had 2 in 3 years of playing.  Seeing as though the last one was about a year ago, I would say I'm about due for another.

in 3 years never had one online. but have been stacked by 3! twice by people flopping them! what a joke.  ;technophobe;

been playing for 4 years quite alot online and live and never had a royal flush or a straight flush. maybe one day i will be a luckbox and hit one

Plenty of straight flushes, but never a royal,in all the times ive been playing.

Funnily enough the other night on BS, I was dealt Jc Qc, folded to a raise early and a re raise mid pos,only to see the  Kc Ac hit the flop, and the majic  Tc on the river.

So unfortunately they dont count nor does folding 1

Been playing since for 6/7 years or so, never had one online or live.

Funny story from the very first APAT event in Birmingham.  As you know in these events, Tikay likes to encourage everyone to clap when someone gets knocked out.  On our table, someone hit a Royal.  We all clapped, and others started joining in.  We had to say that no one had actually got knocked out.  ;D

I have had 3 but one of them was a royal dealt completely out on the board so the whole table had it lol !!!

sadly it was in the first few months of me playing and I was on low fixed limit cash on UB so I made only a few dollars


since then I've flopped it twice, both times holding Kd Jd once live and once online didn't make much either time. I mean who likes a flop of  Td Qd Ad if you don't hold  Jd or  Kd ?

I've also seen the board read  Tc Jc Qc Kc Ac at Notts Gala. causes a bit of a cafuffle (sp)

I've had one but a pal of mine has had more than 10 yet been playing less than half the time i have.
We conned a meal for 4 out of the Broadway once too LOL.

Yeah sad isn't it but such is the grind of making a living from something that used to be your hobby. Oh well at least dtd opens soon and i still genuinley enjoy playing live win or lose.

Still haven't got a Royal, but I did manage to fold  Tc, Jc to a raise and a reraise - only for the board to come  7c, 8c, 9c

One of the players flopped the nut flush and the other hit a full house on the turn.

been playing religiously for 6 years or so both live in casinos and home games and online very day and have never ever had one.

Only had one against me playing  2-4 limit in the Monte Carlo in Vegas and some 70 year old bloke took about $30 off me but also won something like $7,000 from their jackpot that had been building up for 6 months.  Was so chuffed for him it was his 70th that day!
 

I hate to say this but I have been playing about 18 months and was fortunate to have a Royal Flush within weeks of Bainn starting to teach me.  I was pleased, as was Bainn, who took a brilliant video of it for me, but I have to say that at the time, although I was delighted I did not really understand the odds of achieving this. I appreciate it all the more now, I can say!  Understandably I am delighted Bainn has recently had his first Royal after all his play. Wd Bainn!

First royal online

Christmas has been kind to some.

I still haven't got a Royal, but since Saturday I have lost to one (good for him), and I've had quads 3 times - good for me :D

I've had at least five, I guess I don't count, but that's probably cos i've lost count. Bwahaha

It wasn't quite as dramatic or lucrative, but it seems that my Christmas luck is holding up.

In a Razz tournament, I've just had to post the bring in with K5K
- one player called and then checked to the river to give me the opportunity to catch a perfect 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th to overtake them :D

lol - I even had the 'fold to any bet' check box ticked and I was looking at other screens.

It was only when the next hand started and I had to pay attention that I was momentarily confused as to why I had so many chips.

The other was on a cash table on Blonde.  Not a large pot, but the other guy who went in held the 9 so happy days n got all his cash.

Had quite a few straight flushes. 

Quality when they finaly come.  Trying to get value out of them is pretty tough....

The board read a Royal Flush on my cash table earlier and my opponent folded to my push.  Happy days.

I dont get many cos I bet my draws and dont chase when people bet at me, had two live both Spades and a half a dozen online.

i got my first LIVE royal flush today in a tourny at cesars palace (which mad won) it felt so much better than my couple of internet ones, it happened in the first ten minutes so i didnt win that many chips,it almost made up for being sucked out on just short of the final table in a monster pot!!

seen 3 this week at dtd, all dealt by the same dealer, i know kev ward rivered a   Ts to complete his  Aspades Qs for the royal and on friday night a  Ad Kd Qd Jd Td was slammed on the final table

So in summary people who get Royal Flushes are fish, right?
