Title: The US Dollar
Post by: johnbhoy76 on November 02, 2007, 06:43:38 PM
The poker site I play on deals in US Dollars and over the last few weeks I've been running pretty well.

But this good run has coincicded with the Dollar reaching a 25 year low.

So basically I want to know from any financial wizards what they think the dollar will do over the next few months.

Is it worth withdrawing any money just now?

Do you think the dollar will improve or get worse?

Ah, the million dollar question.  I'd love it to strengthen too at the moment, but I can't see much happening for a while.

Not that I have anything to base that theory on.

Ah, the £480,762 question... Wait, the £469,421 qu... no, the £442,810 qu...

At this rate we'll all be playing $1,000/$2,000 at the Bellagio before you know it.

Who knows where it's going? Actually the market doesn't think it's going to change a great deal in the next year or two - forward rates at the moment have the pound at about $2.06 in 12 months, and $2.04 in two years' time. ie, people overall don't think there's any great short-term influence that's making the dollar so weak against the pound.
