Playing the BigO ( BVCC) away today

He's a sneaky one... had his pitch dusty all week.. changed it o/night to green...

Slow and steady start.. already a better performance than last year..

Am 92-3 in the 21st, however his 14k rated bowler is now on...

End of Over 42: 189-5, runrate=4.50

this could go either way with my 3 destructive bowlers still gotten overs lefts

BVCC bowled me out for 141 in the 33rd over, despite a valiant 67no from 65 deliveries from my only decent 17yo

In reply my bowlers are doing me proud.. they are 29-4 from 7 overs

13.1    W   Antonius to Julian
        How is that? He's given him out LBW! The umpire must have seen something I didn't.

YES

thats his 14k rated player out.. hopefully into the tail now

68-5 in the 14th

Well we were never going to have a high scoring game in these conditions!

A bit surprised that it was by spinner who took the most wickets though.

I think it's going to be a close finish...

Barring a collapse this is over :(

End of Over 28: 117-5, runrate=4.18, reqrunrate=1.14 (141-10)
Ganfield   9-0-50-3
Coldicott*   24 (60 balls)
Morgan   43 (58 balls)
Last Wicket: Julian lbw b. Antonius 27 (FOW: 68/5)

I'm doing better than expected against cossie.  Managed to limit him to 252-3 with my backup bowlers, although I asked one of my batsmen to bowl and he went for 81.  The rest of them were very economical though.  Batting lineup is close to full strength so hopefully I can get there.

End of Over 16: 82-2, runrate=5.13, reqrunrate=5.03 (252-3)
Mean 3-0-22-0
Harris* 38 (43 balls)
Bowler 23 (23 balls)

Last Wicket: Hadland c & b. Mathers 20 (FOW: 33/2)

And that's the end of the match. BVCC won by 5 wickets.
Staples015   141-10
BVCC   145-5

End of Over 37: 145-5, runrate=3.92
Nkosi   8-0-37-0
Coldicott*   36 (90 balls)
Morgan*     58 (80 balls)

Well done to the BigO

I think if I managed to get Coldicott out, I'd have won

Well I got there against ramshire, I always think low scoring matches like this look far more one sided than they actually are - was only 1 - 2 wickets away from my tail and they won't add much to the total!

Huge spot of giant killing to report as Athletic Foxy scraped home by 4 wickets against norfolkngood.   ;gobsmacked;

Admiral Nelson,      Alan Partridge,     John Bond,       Justin Fashanu,     deckchair attendant on Yarmouth Pier........... your boys took one hell of a beating!!!!      ;hide;

Seriously though, I just don't understand this game as both Booder and myself appeared to select our worst eleven players meaning his lineup was far, far stronger than mine and his all had sublime pfl too.

Is it possible to just get lucky in a Battrick game?    :dontask:

Nice work Bazza, you got me sweating,  My opener totally stayed in too long and didnt make runs fast enough.  I got lucky getting a few of your good batsmen out.

It always seems close with us eh!

Mat.

It's only 1 game mate, you're still in and I don't see me having my entire first team on sublime for many of the future matches.

I'd be more worried about Jon than me as well!

Ah, thought you'd change your min about that cos your brother challenged me this week and, er, I've accepted. Does this mean we both forfeit the games we should've played this week???  ;oopsy;

You're confusing my brother with cossieboy's brother - you've accepted the right game!

Luckily for my sanity my brother has so far managed to follow the simple instruction of "you're playing Sheriff's Stars this week".
