Title: speech plays
Post by: ACE2M on November 07, 2007, 04:45:24 PM
i witnessed a brilliant bit of speech play at a recent tournament.

it went raise, re raise, call.

Flop =  Aspades  2s  9h

action goes check, bet, raise, re raise, long pause then all in accompanied by "So Sick"

other player folds and so sick guy shows a King.

Brilliant.

yeah i like it, he obv had the nut flush draw and would rather take the pot down there and then. The 'so sick' implied he had bottom or middle set, however the villian in this hand obv 4 bet with air, so grundy could have shown the king before shoving all in, and not recieve a call.
