Title: I lol'ed
Post by: George2Loose on November 09, 2007, 03:18:30 PM
With a board of   Aspades Jh Qc Kd Ts, Nick Schulman moves all in for almost 25,000 into the tiny pot and Men "The Master" Nguyen quickly calls all in behind him. Seat 3 folds and Tom Dobrilovic moves all in behind. Seat 6 announces that he is all in and now it is up to Beth Shak to make her decision. After a few moments, she decides to muck her cards.

donno, think it was foxwoods, apparently the pot was 1k and if she calls she nets like 200 chips, if she folds she gets all the internet experts thinking she is a fish forever more, i know which one has a higher value

Sigh, there are a few people on the Tour that would make moves like this, but because they are affluent and play every tournament around, the general public assume they're good players. One good result (or, more accurately, lucky run) and their mistaken legend is cemented.

This happened a few years ago in a £1,000 NLH tourney at the Vic. The board read:
 4c 4d 4h 4s Ad.
There were stil 6 players left on the river and there had been no action on the flop or the turn. Come the river some joker bets about the size of pot. Of course everyone calls, the action gets to Micheal Arnold, who is asleep as usual. The dealer eventually nudges him awake.

"It's on you Micheal, 200 to call"
He looks at his cards, looks at the board, puts his glasses on,looks again at the board and his cards, then mucks and goes back to sleep.

This is the same man who fell asleep at his desk playing a MTT  online, then he wakes up an hr later and finds himself on the final table.

Beth Shak is both an awful player and a complete idiot

Had the misfortune of running into her at the WPT at Bellagio this year. Got in a massive pot with her in level 2, all in preflop AA v JJ. She made quad Jacks and sat there telling me (genuinely) that I didn't need to play my hand as bad as I did, getting it all in preflop. This was after her shreiking and dancing around, telling everyone that she "knew" it was coming and that she plays her game on instincts. I had to sit there with her singing to herself whilst stacking my chips for next god knows how long. Not my favourite person.

I saw something funny at the Luton G a couple of months ago..

It was a £20 freezeout. A couple of tables left and its self deal until the final table..

Some bloke decided to deal for the table (which usually happens im sure you all know)...

The board read:::

 Qd Qh 8c 7d 2d

There was betting pre flop but three players ended up checkin it down to the river...no one bet, and it was time to turn over the cards...

(these are rough guesses)

A:  Aspades Kd         B:  Ac Td         C:  Jh Jd

So obviously hand C wins with two pair (this is what the guy who was self dealing had)...

Anyway...they all turned over and the blokes words were:

''Ive only got the two queens on board...thats all weve all got... (checks)....yep...''

Then he SPLITS the whole pot into three parts and shares it out equally!!

The funniest thing is...

NO one at the WHOLE TABLE batted an eyelid!!!???
