Playing the Virgin Daily Deepstack €22 buy-in, 5,000 starting stack, blinds start 10/20 increasing every 12 mins for 1st hour, 15 mins for next 2 hours, 20 mins for next hour and every 30 mins subsequently. 153 runners, 30 mins in, 3rd level 25/50. My stack about 4,800. No real knowledge about players mainly due to, if I'm honest, not paying enough attention (England-Croatia build-up!)

UTG+1 limps, MP limps, 2 more limpers and I see JJ on the button. I raise to 250 trying to take the pot down or at least thin the field.

Blinds fold, UTG+1 folds, MP raises to 800, folds round to me, think for long time, consider all options finally settle on the call to see what the texture of the flop is.

Flop - 10 - 9 - ?  - no flush draw, no straight draw. 1825 in pot.

Villain bets 900. I am worried about AA after the pre-flop re-raise but think that the call in mid-position after an EP limp makes it unlikely. Discount folding on on 10 high board. Call can't be a good move - can it? I decided to raise. I only have about 5 times his bet left so decide on the all-in. He calls after a short delay and turns over AA.

Should I have folded after the pf re-raise? Surely I can't find a fold after what looks like a c-bet. Should I have called? A smaller raise? I can't see how all my chips don't end up in the middle? Your comments are invited.

definite fold pre flop for me

I fold or shove pre depending on what I make of MP, these limps behind someone who has already limped and then they raise are confusing. They are normally one of two things aa/kk or a small pocket pair, given he has made the re raise comparitively small instead of big, i might find a pass as he looks like he wants a customer.

You don't have good enough implied odds to call and set mine, as his ranges is so polarised calling is probably not a good idea to outplay villan without a set.

As played i prob shove flop as folding an overpair this shallow is too nitty for my liking.

Fold preflop to the limper reraise.

Limp reraises are traditionally QQ+ or AK. So you can fold preflop. You can't really setmine here because the effective stacks aren't big enough - but if you do call here know that you need a Jack.

On the flop, you now only ever beat AK. That's it. Never expect him to show up with 88 or less given preflop. And raising is awful anyway, because he never folds a better hand - and he never puts in more money if he somehow has worse.

Fold preflop; fold on the flop. Think what you are trying to achieve or what affect it will have on hands your opponent can logically have before you EVER make a bet or raise.
