Why is that a no shit moment?..It could have been a bomb blast..doors could not have closed properly, been attacked by a Russian sub..or it could have been a fine piece of English craftsmanship and broken down after being run into by a baby-seal? I thought there wasn't any ice any more in Antartica because everyone is driving around in 4x4's so you could even argue that it is the LEAST likely explanation as to why the ship is sinking.

You really are a cynical man Tighty.

Are the Britons cross, or are there ten of them?

They're all SAS members preparing to invade Argentina, so they have to be anonymous.

"The firm said 23 Britons, 17 Dutch, 10 Australians, 13 Americans and 10 Canadians were among the passengers."

Always amuses me the way the press report the people in these sort of things - it's like sod everyone else

BBC website quote

"According to a report on Lloyds List's website, the ship was found to have five "deficiencies" at an inspection in May at Greenock, Scotland, by the UK's Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). Watertight doors were described as "not as required", while lifeboat maintenance problems and missing search and rescue plans were also noted."
