Title: Erotica 2007 Post by: Colchester Kev on November 24, 2007, 01:11:13 AM Went there today ... always fancied going but never got round to it before. Bloody hell, I missed out on previous years !
Me and Ginger set off at 10.30 sat nav loaded and began the trip to Olympia... but forget the boring travel details, I wanna talk about the event :) wall to wall stalls selling just about anything and everything that you could possibly imagine AND probably a lot that you cant LOL There was such a wide variety of people there, from all walks of life and from every generation , Old men in leather, old women in almost nothing ... stunning beauties in their knickers... Jesus, at one point i nearly had to ask for a medic as i thought i had died and gone to heaven. One classic was some bloke about 35ish wearing leather chaps and a red sparkly thong :o ... I am just tucking into Pie peas and gravy (I had a day off ffs .. i deserved it ;) ) anyway, said brokeback mountain lookalike sits down on the next table with his mate dressed as a WW11 Gestapo Officer ( I KID YOU NOT ) trouble is... the chairs were metal with holes in the seat .. now first thing you think is EFFIN HELL his arse must be freezing ... but then he finishes his meal, gets up, and as he walks passed us Jane and I piss ourselves laughing ... his arse now resembles a frigging WAFFLE where the chair has imprinted itself on his arse cheeks ... absolutely hysterical. Stage shows were awesome... as was just about everything, and believe it or not, It took me a trip to Erotica to actually find something good to come out of wales (apart from the Motorway ;) ) TOFFEE VODKA .. believe it or not this stuff is made in Taffland and tastes bloody awesome .. http://www.toffoc.com/site/index.aspx Have a look and get the Taffs to bring you a bottle next time we all meet up, they were giving out thimbles of the stuff as tasters, so i did the done thing and sampled one ..MMMmmm it was nectar, Jane also did the right thing ... she sampled about a dozen FFS ... then when we bought a bottle she had another bloody TUMBLER full on the house, just to make sure LOL. Well after an amazing day we somehow managed to make our way back to the car without a sherpa, fk knows how... we must have had more carrier bags than bleeding Tescos LOL. Also its the day as a whole that makes it all worthwhile .. the shows, the atmosphere the sights ... you can seriously spend 6 or 7 hours milling about having a drink, something to eat and still come away wondering if you missed anything.. I suppose it really boils down to the fact that unless you are interested and enjoy the fetish/alternative/sex isnt just for bedtime with the lights off ideals, then you wouldnt really have a great time, its a bit like me paying to go to the horse of the year show ... not my idea of a day out, but each to their own... Its on TODAY AND TOMORROW ... you still have time ... Speaking as the 'not so public' side of the two of us... have to say it was a fantastic day out and well worth the relatively small cost. If you are into any of this you will know it can cost a small fortune but we ended up saving loads by going and buying it there instead (apart from the new wardrobe that I will now need to house it all... ) There truly is something for everyone, even if you didn't know you liked it when you walked in the doors....things that made you "oooooh and aaaah" to "ouch and ow!!" The stall holders aren't pushy, they're quite happy for you to try out most of what they have to offer and they don't try get you to buy anything you don't really want (though that wasn't really an issue with us lol) and we'll definitely be going back again and again - well, we have to get the toffee vodka somewhere ;angel; The shows were amazing, these aren't just nude/semi nude ladies on stage for blokes to oggle at, these are talented, highly professional acts that leave you speechless at times, and for the ladies (if it's your cup of tea - not for me) there is the Fantasy Boys too. On offer are hedonistic holiday stalls, a wide selection of hilarious merkins, furniture you'd expect Goths to buy, lap dancing lessons (the only highlight!) and of course stalls with all the porn and adult material you could ever wish for. People there were quite odd, mainly men in leather coats, sun glasses and receding hairlines with aging trophy blondes on their arms. It kind of felt like being at a Matrix convention for a sec. I did come away with a DVD signed by a massively talented actress.
