Title: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: divaflava on November 27, 2007, 12:59:59 PM Good start here. Batting first on a green pitch, partially cloudy and windy and I'm 132-1 at lunch, Kerwin 75no.
Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Bongo on November 27, 2007, 01:20:49 PM Bowling first against a bot, for some reason the pitch is dusty, which is hurting me as I don't have a front line spinner for FC atm - I bought one with low fitness and he's nearly recovered now!
End of Over 43 (Maiden). master XI: 108-6, runrate=2.51 Should bowl them out soon I hope! Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Bongo on November 27, 2007, 01:45:47 PM Seems I picked a WK to bowl instead of one of my bowlers, which can't have helped!
Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Bongo on November 27, 2007, 05:42:21 PM 311/6, WK who was meant to be a bowling in now, thankfully, so should be able to ease my way to max batting points before bowling them out again.
Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Nakor on November 27, 2007, 06:10:46 PM Mistake on top of mistake.
Made an error with my Cup game selection Sunday, and with my nets Monday. Have PFL issues and have fielded a poor side BR wise I am now struggling against a team I should easily beat. Bowled them for 184 and managed 73/1 got to declare at 360 and hope my bowlers leave me enough overs to chase down on day 3. Just hope my PFL recovers in other area's. So annoyed with myself. Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: matt674 on November 27, 2007, 06:39:17 PM Mistake on top of mistake. Dont broadcast this too often on t'internet - You'll have Brian Barwick round your house offering you the post as next England manager......... ;whistle; Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: divaflava on November 27, 2007, 07:21:10 PM lol, continue good start, declared 408-2 although Kerwin wwas a bit miffed as he had 198no. Tzaneen 132no.
but they got to 63-0 by end of play so need to get off to a good start tomorrow morning or I might be looking at a PFL-sapping, championionship-costing draw, eek! Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: amcgrath1uk on November 27, 2007, 08:07:18 PM Again, playing a BOT away, so bat first, score 360, then bowl them out twice was the plan.
So won the toss and batted. In trouble in less than 15 overs at 60-4, luckily my worst 2 batters put on some good runs, with my no 4 scoring 108, and my no 6 scoring 81. Fell away again however to finish 292AO. In reply, some simply great bowling from my back ups, meant they were bowled out in the 42nd over for 58, with their no 3 scoring 18 from 110 deliveries. star of the day being my 3rd backup allrounder, scoring 32 from 31 balls, then taking 5-8 from 9 overs. Should win convincingly tomorrow to leave Thursday a rest day Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: amcgrath1uk on November 28, 2007, 12:07:02 PM won already. bowled them out for 31 second time. A good day and a half rest now :)
Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Bazzaboy on November 28, 2007, 12:24:45 PM Bot bashed. Failed to get it done inside one day though.
Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Bongo on November 28, 2007, 12:45:54 PM End of Over 22 (2 runs). master XI: 67-3, runrate=3.05 (1st Inn: 125-10)
Trail by 178 runs. (Bigglesthwaite CC 370-6 dec) Just need to get this wrapped up now. Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: divaflava on November 28, 2007, 12:54:32 PM Got their top four out but they only need 105 to avoid the follow on, could be close! Them 153-4.
Yippeee! Reverse bok, 158-5 ;) Blimey! 158-6 ;D 171-10 ;yippee; Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Bongo on November 28, 2007, 03:47:01 PM I've polished off the bot now.
PFL still looking good, no one below energetic before play today. Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: matt674 on November 28, 2007, 04:59:02 PM Playing a team with human manager but he was unlucky to get given a team that had already won promotion when turning into a bot so he's in Div 5 with a Div 6 team. He's improved a little since beginning of season but its still a game i expected to win.
After first day i had managed to declare on 374 for 5 after just 80 overs giving me 30 overs to try and break into his top order. However by the end of the day he had finished on 78 for 0 and my hopes of enforcing the follow on at 224 were looking less likely. A well structured team talk at the beginning of day two however seemed to do the trick............... And that's the end of the match. an innings and 92 runs. End of Over 52 (4 runs). Telford Bears: 133-10, runrate=2.56 (1st Inn: 149-10) Trail by 92 runs. (Matts Monkeys 374-5 dec) Berry 10-3-28-3 Sweet* 7 (41 balls) 20 wickets in 3/4 of a day conceeding approx 200 runs good enough for me - an extra days rest for an important one day game on friday :) Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Nakor on November 28, 2007, 06:31:04 PM Panic over and a days rest.
Rudi finally performs. Who to sell now that is the question of my battrick world. Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Ironside on November 29, 2007, 04:52:04 PM i still have 3 wickets left i am an innings and 151 runs behind but with 30 minutes left i might get a draw
one time Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: divaflava on November 29, 2007, 04:53:15 PM I won. Dig in Ironside!
Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Bazzaboy on November 29, 2007, 05:14:01 PM I thought a side above me was going to lose costly points by drawing with a side they should beat but it looks like they are going to sneak a win :(. 4th placed side lost without picking up a point so its going to be very tight between the 3 of us for the 4th placed spot.
Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Ironside on November 29, 2007, 05:18:07 PM by my rought maths i have 1 over left to bat with 1 wicket intact
but i could be wrong with number of overs Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Ironside on November 29, 2007, 05:19:14 PM it could be 4 overs which ties in better with the time
but it aint long come on one time Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Ironside on November 29, 2007, 05:29:47 PM just batted out them 4 overs and worked out i still have 3 more to face
i want them fined for a slow over rate Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: Ironside on November 29, 2007, 05:48:40 PM i think i lost on the last ball of the innings
Title: Re: Battrick FC 27/11 Post by: divaflava on November 29, 2007, 09:49:39 PM :(
