Hi I am new to online poker and have played mostly live games with friends with a bit of success. Have decided to play online but unsure of which site(s) to play on etc? Would also like help off anyone interested in mentoring? thanks a lot

With regards to mentoring are you sure that is what you need? My advise personally would be to read a few poker books in the type of poker you are interested in and go from there.

If you let us know what type of poker you are going to play holdem/omaha/pineapple , tournie/cash/sng then the people here can certainly reccomend some books for you.

Everyone's got their own favourite online sites - why not try a few and see which one you feel comfortable on?  I play pretty much exclusively on blonde - if you're around at 8.30 tonight there's a $10 blonde only game which is usually good fun, and a good opportunity to play some decent players (best way to learn imo) for a small stake.

Blondepoker is very good, but you could also try DTD (decent software, ok range of games and not as many good players as say PokerStars), or PartyPoker (good amount of players).

In terms of mentoring, you could do worse than read some of the previous posts on the hand analysis board, and start to post some tricky situations of your own as they arise - that way you get lots of people to help you.
