Mourinho 'invites England offer'

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly expressed an interest in becoming the new England manager.

Mourinho, who left Chelsea in September, said he would be prepared to talk to the Football Association.

"You will have to speak to the FA to see if they are interested in offering me the job," he told The Sun newspaper.

"I cannot say what I think until they say they are interested. Tell the FA to come and get me. We will have to wait and see, but I rule nothing out."

Never gonna happen I reckon...but we can hope, right?

Right?

Maybe not...

If Jose is interested that should be enough imo, offer him the job and give him the freedom to do what he sees fit. I saw documentary about Jose on sky and what everyone said about him is that he is very organised gets everything in place from top to bottom, geared towards success. Exactly what we need.

Of course the source we have is the sun, so i will believe when i see it.

I agree...I'll believe it when I see it. However, if it is true, and Mourinho is interested, then for god's sake FA, don't mess around, get him in now!

According to reports Mourinho has said :

"I cannot say what I think until they say they are interested. Tell the FA to come and get me. We will have to wait and see, but I rule nothing out."

Love him or Loathe him (i'm not a Chelsea fan) you have to admire his record: Is there a better man available at this moment in time? Should he be given the job?

Or is this just his way of wanting to "feel important"(ego trip)  and to be included in discussions?

They only slashed it because some people will have seen the first editions of the papers last night and lumped on Jose. He's still available at 3.3 (9/4 in old money) on Betfair.

Jose may not want the England job, but he would certainly like to be offered it.

what everyone keeps forgetting is HOW Jose says those things. He probably had a grin on his face when he said.."they have to come to me first"..meaning noone came to him yet and his grin would mean he'd tell them to F off. ;)
