Title: Have you ever clucked like a chicken? Post by: JungleCat03 on December 07, 2007, 05:56:50 AM Following a discussion I had with flushy, in which he was fairly adamant that shows involving hypnotism are all staged and that the people who end up behaving like a chicken or engaging in other strange behaviour as a result of hypnotism are actually just actors, I'm throwing out the question...
Have you, or someone you know well, ever been hypnotised? Was it on stage? Did you do anything unusual whilst under hypnosis? All anecdotes are welcome... ...As a sidenote, I feel some sort of prop bet coming on so as a last question... If Flushy was hypnotised, what would you like to see him do/say? Title: Re: Have you ever clucked like a chicken? Post by: RED-DOG on December 07, 2007, 06:02:55 AM Yes, I went on stage with about half a dozen others to be hypnotised.
No, it didn't work on me. Title: Re: Have you ever clucked like a chicken? Post by: MKKfish on December 07, 2007, 09:14:13 AM Went to see a Paul McKenna show being filmed - deffo not set up but a zillion retakes coz a lot of peeps are not
My father when he retired took up hypnotherapy and was very successful at getting folk of the fags - not the same thing I know but it worked. Would like to see Flushy fall madly deeply in love with the big fecker from 'The Green Mile'... and lets keep him under and drop him off in Brixton. Title: Re: Have you ever clucked like a chicken? Post by: Claw75 on December 07, 2007, 09:37:31 AM no I've not been hypnotised for a stage show (don't fancy it, and don't think it would work on me anyway), but I did see a stage hypnotist on holiday last year. Of the 10 or so people he had up on stage, there were three women that were quite clearly 'under', one more so than the others - no way it was staged unless she was a VERY good actress, but judging by her blushes as people pointed her out around the pool over the next few days, I don't think so.

Post by: Graham C on December 07, 2007, 09:42:37 AM My Dad went to see one to quit smoking a few years ago and whilst he was there, he was also taught about better memory. Got him remembering a list of about 20 things with wierd associations and things like that and he could remember it all the next week too. Very impressive.
Not so impressive was that as soon as he came out, he sparked up a fag and still continues to smoke like a chimney! Title: Re: Have you ever clucked like a chicken? Post by: cia260895 on December 07, 2007, 10:02:52 AM I actually went up on the stage with Paul Mckenna with about 12 others and I can say in all honestly that for the whole 2 hour show + break I was never hypnotised and acted like a complete idiot doing whatever i was asked. it was a blind date and to tell the truth she was a bit of a minger. so the easy get out when asked who wanted to go on stage i was 1st up...

Tut tut... no lateral thinking mate.. "Paul, could you hypnotise me into thinking that munter I came in with is Liz Hurley - right cheers Paul I'm off" Sorted for the rest of the night. Title: Re: Have you ever clucked like a chicken? Post by: TightEnd on December 07, 2007, 10:25:43 AM At University we booked a hypnotist for one of our "do's"
Much alcohol later I found myself up on stage in a group of people Much Hangover later the events of the night before were retold to me with much hilarity Apparently I was rolling around on the stage pretending to be a toddler. My shoe fell off, and I began to stroke it The Hynotist said to me "what are you stroking?" to which, I allegedly replied "I am stroking my pussy" about 37 times Of course its all rubbish and I was not under at all. p.s I actually attended hypnotherapy (serious point alert) some years ago as part of a programme I was on. I liked the feeling of calm,it ordered my mind..but I never felt under at any point Title: Re: Have you ever clucked like a chicken? Post by: Claw75 on December 07, 2007, 10:42:48 AM stage hypnotist for the next blonde bash? I'd love to see flushy stroking his pussy.

I said to him: "why the fuck did you do that"? he said "everyone else was falling on the floor, I'd of looked stupid if i didn't" yeah that would've made you look stupid ::) He wishes he never told me now because everytime he starts digging me out about something in the pub i tell the story. Post by: Snatiramas on December 07, 2007, 01:55:26 PM Used a hypnotherapist to give up smoking...........have recommended him to numerous people since of which I know of four who went to see him. None of whom now smoke. Use self hypnotherapy/ deep relaxation techniques a lot. Also went to the same guy for sea sickness before the Ladbrokes cruise around the med in 2004. Now I used to get sea sick in a deep bath. During the cruise we sailed through a huge storm on night 4..........I loved it.........would not go to stage shows as I know I am highly susceptible

Title: Re: Have you ever clucked like a chicken? Post by: steeveg on December 07, 2007, 04:13:19 PM i do think a lot of people mess round pretending they are hypnotised, i got up on stage with one of best m8s, i grew up with him from a kid and knew him inside out, he was not someone who would clown around for the sake of it in front of an audience, the hypnotist was telling us you are sleepy, you cant open your eyes, i am smiling opening 1 eye at a time not doing anything to us i am thinking, my m8 sat next to me was telling me with a bit of panic that he couldn't open his eyes, my friend was hypnotised to be a sergeant major, when a certain tune was played he would march round the audiance and start shouting at everyone to get there haircut, he was told when music stopped he would walk back to his seat and sit down feeling a right prat, i saw the look in his eyes when the music started, no way was he putting it on, you could see him turn into a different person, he was very embarrassed ,when the music stopped seeeing everyone peeing themselves with laughter ,he even tried to walk out at the interval, the hypnotist spotted him and played the music on the organ, i can still see him now marching back in to the club shouting at everyone, brilliant, a lot of people believe its fixed and i am sure it does happen but there are a lot who do go under, there has been a lot of study
into hypnotism, the british army did a lot of successful tests during the first world war which are facinating, the Russians use it a lot nowadays, well worth looking up Title: Re: Have you ever clucked like a chicken?
