Title: do americans eat curry? Post by: gatso on December 19, 2007, 10:32:48 PM I was speaking to one of my translators (a ukrainian who's lived in new york for the last 12 years) last week and told him that as soon as I got back to the UK I was going to have a curry. He had no idea what I was talking about even after a lenthy description was given. Surely it can't be true that americans don't eat the stuff, I thought they eat anything.

They also have curry eating contests that only US people can enter and then call them 'World Champion'....or is that just all their other sports?? :o

In Ohio you'd be looking long and hard for a good curry house. We lived in New York for 7 years and they had them there (called Indian restaurants) but we never called in. Pity it took me so long to appreciate 'other food options'.
