Title: call or not?
Post by: boldie on December 28, 2007, 11:05:54 PM
Just wondering how many people make the call.

From the Stanley sat tonight.

you are HU..only one package up for grabs. Both players have roughly the same amount of chips..8500-7500 ish (estimated but 8500 to you)

Blinds 50-100

You are BB with 5s 6s

button standard raises to 250 and you call.

flop 7c 8s kc

you check to button who bets 400. (he has something when he does this as he is playing like proper scared money)

You call

Turn Qs

you check to button who moves all in for 6k'ish.

If you call you are crippled and dead in the water if you don't hit...

I folded as I consider myself a giant luckbox  ;) (Seriously, I considered myself to have a very decent skill advantage against oppo and a 9k-6k deficit was not a problem with blinds at 50-100) was wondering who calls here though as I was tempted for 10 seconds or so (which is a long time to actualy think about a hand when playing online for me..)

you won the package...well done.     suppose you had to give it away as you had to work.

This is a pretty standard pass.

You are getting well under the correct price to draw to this if you were of equal skill, let alone if you felt you had an edge

agreed

you're drawing to 15 outs on the river HU for most of the chips in play with only 1 prize. in fact you don't even know if your spade draw is live, it could just be 6 outs.

not even a close decision

Thanks..I was sure it was a pass..sometimes these hands can be soo very very tempting to call with though and do your tourney in with.

Standard pass. Tis bloody annoying when they just shut you out like that though. How much would you have called? :)

I hate having to fold this but it's still fairly easy fold

Easy fold for me here too.  Glad you managed to win this one, not like you did in the darts.
