Title: Re: Tell Me I'm Right!! Post by: GlasgowBandit on December 30, 2007, 01:03:27 AM I was criticised for the play by a few folk, just unlucky I ran into the BB's Aces :-(

If you threw the A away its still a push If he threw away both cards it would be a push..... Was actually thinking about this, 0 equity if called, its probably pretty marginal, i think if we cutoff you could push no cards but with 3 to act behind there is probably a greater than 25% chance one will find a premium. I suppose it depends how tight the ranges are of the other player. If its 77+ KQ+ AJ+ then there is a 23.1% chance of a call which makes it a +459TC increase, so yeah no hand will do, if they call any lighter though its getting close to 0EV -EV Title: Re: Tell Me I'm Right!! Post by: cooker3 on December 30, 2007, 01:45:31 AM Lol @ anyone who criticises a push here. Doing anything else is terrible
Title: Re: Tell Me I'm Right!! Post by: celtic on December 30, 2007, 02:04:37 AM Flat call for 2k and fold from a push in the BB. Obvious he has aces.

Ohh I had 11.5k to be fair by the sounds of it you needed to find somewhere to get your chips in 15-20 mintues earlier? Title: Re: Tell Me I'm Right!! Post by: johnbhoy76 on December 30, 2007, 01:37:19 PM I was criticised for the play by a few folk, just unlucky I ran into the BB's Aces :-( what did they say you should have done? surely folding is out of the question and if you limp you are going to call any sort of raise anyway. The only time I would play this any differently is if there is a couple of short stacks behind me or a couple of aggressive players. I might limp if I am confident that someone will shove with any ace. But this really depends on the opponets and the chip stacks etc... |
