sigh..so something that always goes by the odds v humans... not even close to being as interesting as Kasparov v Deep Blue

Actually the matches were quite interesting, the bot made a Q high calldown vs phil laak at one point.

I think its much more interesting than a game played with perfect information.

The "by the odds" description is much more apt for the game of chess than poker.

Aye, unfortunately the game played was Limit Hold'em. Apparently a no-limit bot is still quite a long way off.

Maybe the next generation computer will be able to remotely detect changes in body temperature, body sweat levels (like a polygraph) and maybe be able to analyse the player's facial characteristics changing, body posture, and other stuff like that to determine if they are strong/weak etc.
