So, instead I'm posting a thread about possibly the longest ever game in the history of televised poker.

220 hands to get to heads up.... Another 250 hands heads up!! 470+ hands in total. That must be some kind of world record..

I'll be amazed to see how they edit this one :)

I've never seen women's darts - aside from something I dimly recollect from my student days watching Live TV. Women's athletics is pretty awesome though. Infact, some scientists believe women may become better than men at long distance running. Quite a long time in the future granted, but it's a popular school of thought.

Maria an Jesse were different class. Watchin it from the Green room with Matt Dale,it was impressive how they managed to comentate on a game of poker for so long,especially the heads up.
RESPECT Maria.People watching 2nite won't realise that you had played and won ur heat and then comentated for 7hours or so.

As it turns out, hubby has entered me into a €50 satellite for the Lakes of Killarney festival.  It's on at 8pm tonite, but the pub is a local with Sky and they've agreed to show it for me.

Satellite cancelled as not enough runners.  Some wanted the cash instead of the seat and as it wasn't an option, they wouldn't play.  Sigh.  Never ends.

Ah well.  Lovely fire going in the sitting room and the popcorn is popping as I type.  Will stay awake til show time by donking money at cyber space tables instead.

Cheers guys, I'm sure you are just being kind.  I remember nothing of the 7.5 hour heat apart from giggling like a fool (a lot) at Jesse May.  If it wasn't for him staying upbeat the whole time I would have been sat in a trailer just rocking back and forth like a loon lol.

FFS!!!  Sky Ireland doesn't have channel 5.  We even checked the A to Z guide and no joy.  If anyone knows how to search/add channels using Sky's 'other channels' feature, I'd appreciate a quick run through so I can try and add it.

Hey George, not EXACTLY a turbo.  It was 21 hands per level which worked out slightly longer than the previous 30 min levels in this format!

Actually it might not be 470 hands, but it felt like it... It's probably more like 450? Will be interested to see how many it was, and if my memory has exaggerated the whole horror of it all ;)

that's nearly as many hands as the BB4 HU final!

I think time might have made you exagerate the number of hands.  I seriously can't remember for sure but I reckon it was about 150 to get heads up then about 120 heads up!  Still a huge amount....

Anyhow.......I really don't feel very well.  Gonna switch off!!

Just got back in time to watch the rest of this - I remember calling Matt to ask for a T-shirt while Chili was commentating on this around 11pm, and again at 1am, and again at 2am... I remember thinking that that was one of the longest of long hauls.  Good job - you are still sounding enthusiastic currently...  plus 10/10 for the play/watch multitask over 48 hours, Maria.  :)
