as you know sometimes the best hand in omaha has to be folded ,i am thinking of another player on a freeroll , just wondering if a lot of players consider folding in this situation,   Ahrt   Th 9d 8d    flop comes        Ks   Js   Qc,i have nut straight but no draw for flush, how would you play it in ep, i certainly bet the flop but how do you react to pot size re raises, also in l/p , if players make pot  bets  ,you know  alot of the time 1 of them is going to bet big after the turn regardless of the turn card, i am thinking its better not to get involved in a hand where i am may just be splitting the pot with the chance of loosing a lot of cash if i get outdrawn, am i playing to cautious considering folding after the flop when betting gets heavy and a draw is out thinking one of them could be freerolling,

i'm checking this 90% of the time and trying to peel off a brick on the turn, even then i'm not going to go nuts with the hand if the betting goes off massively at any point before the river i'm ditching it.

You don't achieve much with this bet imo.

You give all the draws proper odds to call, players i play with will tend to call the nuts and flush draw here looking to get it in on the turn if a brick hits. The pot will be big enough that you get yourself in to deep on the turn when it's a card thats good for you, assuming you now take the betting full pot line? If you get raised it becomes difficult to fold and you can be certain your calling at best to split some possible dead money.

oop here i definately like to check call the flop and check raise the turn in multiway pots, i'll accept getting outdrawn if no one raises it for me. But there is a good chance of catching someone having a pop on the turn that they have to lay down to a c/r or might feel like carrying on with improper odds.

HU or 3 handed in a raised pot i'm probably just going broke with the hand (while it's still the nuts), but in a limped multiway pot i'm taking an extremely cautious line on such a dirty board.

This is a CHECK against 2+ players, 100%. Against one l might chance my arm with a POT sized bet to see where l am at. If he comes over the top of you you either let go or come back over the top and hold on to your chair. He has 2 cards to come and unless he is sitting there with   Aspades Ts Qd Qh  or a similar hand he wont be calling. If he flat calls then you see the turn and put the pressure/decision on him then if it is in your favour.

Remember Omaha is a gambling game, very few big pots are won or lost on the Flop alone.

thanks great advice,i have played cautious in these situations except for making that first bet in e/p thinking if i check i am giving a free card to any flush draws,but i see what you mean about just getting called by the player who will make it big on the turn,which is how i would play the hand with the straight and flush draw.
