To say that my friend and I were not slightly apprehensive would be a lie, but I had done my research and was well prepared! We had towels and loo paper for the ride home (it would take us an hour and a half and the lack of service stations along the M1 worried me to say the least!) We arrived to find a beautiful set of barn conversions. My friend was going first, which meant that I had about an hour to sit there and wait. I had visions of a huge tube going up what I considered to be a smaller than average hole (I actually asked Tracey to check this for me later and I am pleased to report that it is normal!) I had the consultation first. Tracey took me through the questionnaire I had filled out and asked me some general questions. She then tested me for mineral deficiency and dehydration. Anything I said was in the strictest of confidence and I have to say Tracey put me very much at ease and made me feel a lot more relaxed. After being weighed, I took off all my clothes, wrapped myself in a towel and jumped on the table…this was it…I was actually going to do this…

I lay on my back and Tracey felt my stomach for gas and hard poo. Then she asked me to role onto my side and talked me through what she was going to do. (I had the opportunity to watch what was coming out, but I chose not to!) She put the tube in (contrary to popular belief, it does not go all the way up, only slightly and it was a completely painless process!) Then she turned the machine on, which allowed water to circulate the colon. This actually felt quite pleasurable. She told me that I wouldn’t need to do any work – Tracey and my bottom had it under control! Then she said to me that she would let my colon fill up with water for three seconds and then release it. This felt absolutely fine – a bit like needing to go for a poo! After this, I was in charge of when the water was released. I rolled onto my back and repeated the procedure; the whole time Tracey was chatting away to me and sometimes I would even forget that I was having it done.

The treatment lasted about 40 minutes. Afterwards, I felt hand-on-heart fantastic…and lighter!!! Even my skin felt better. I could not believe it. I sat on the toilet to allow any excess water to come out and then I was re-weighed - I had lost weight and would have lost more, but my body had retained some of the water because I was dehydrated. Tracey then handed me an aftercare leaflet and I was on my way. No need for the towels or the loo paper on the way home – there was no feeling of suddenly needing to go – I felt great! My thanks to Tracey – she was so professional and I am pleased to say that I will be going again!


Just to add...

lets be honest the vast majority of us poker playing folk could do with an mot, I know i have felt better in the past than I have recently, I put this down to late nights, lack of excerise, bad posture WHILST playing too much poker amongst other things, but I have vowed to get fit and start being healthy again. After yesterday I genuinely feel like I am a month into my get fit regime after just one day, I feel more energetic and Tracey has given me the incentive to continue to get more healthy. Some folk may poo-poo colonic irrigation however if any of you feel lathargic or lacking in energy and want a miracle cure I would urge you to go make anD appointment with Tracey. AWESOME!!

i watched a tv report about over 5 years ago on colon irrigation, every person on tv said the same as eddy, they all felt fantastic after the treatment and planned to have treatment in the future, i was very fit but was always feeling sluggish and no enthusiasm, not depressed or anything, i thought to my self i wouldn't mind giving that a try, so i looked round for any local clinic. nothing in phone book  no information anywhere, i didn't have the web then so i thought maybe my doctor could me some information. his words to me where, no it has not been proven colon irrigation works, it finished up in a bit of an argument, he could not give me any negative reason not to have the treatment,  i pointed out there's nothing to loose and i think its worth giving it a go as i believe you must feel better, i also mentioned it was not something i intend to get done every week but maybe every couple of months if it works for me, he wouldn't help in the slightest, just wondering if doctors have the same attitude towards the treatment as i think in a lot of cases it should be recommended by doctors as it would help a lot of people with everyday life clearing up a lot of problems and making them feel far more full of life and energetic.

Doctors will recommend anything that makes their patients feel good. Most wouldnt recommend this I would imagine because of the academic research behind it, or lack of it. The medical professional is very closed ranked when it comes to 'alternative' medicine/therapy. They peddle illness, not wellbeing but you are correct in that there should be many measures to ensure we are well and stay away from the docs. I've personally never heard a bad report about colonic irrigation and its great for detoxing. That being said, I dont know if I'd be in a rush to try it :) For other people its great! lol

Agree with everything said - it's amazing how difficult it it so get Doctors to consider colonic irrigation. In the 1940's they actually had colonic machines in surgeries but as laxatives became more available doctors did away with the machines, this was a step backwards as laxatives can reduce bowel function whereas colonics improve it - but that's progress for you!

When I opened my first clinic 4 years ago in Northampton the local doctors were very sceptical, with our clients permission we wrote to their doctors to report and improvement in their symptoms and what we thought the cause might be. Four years on and we receive referrals from five local doctors (no mean feat!) and the local hospital.

There is actually a lot of research done by Dr Kellog - yes of cornflake fame - about colonics - many years of research and practice but it was carried out a few years ago and in the US so Dr's over here are a bit sceptical.

I think the funniest thing is the client coming back for the second treatment - normally within 2 weeks. They will report all sorts of improvements but many of them will never think it can be down to the colonic - especially improvements in energy and skin. So many people don't realise that the bowel regulates a lot of the functions in the body and if elimination is impaired then your skin may suffer for example.

Anyway - I was delighted to see Ed, we had a great treatment, he was a model client although I have to say it's the first time I've done colonics as a third date!!  Really pleased to get a call at 10 in the evening   ::)  to tell me how wonderful they were both feeling!

 

I don't know Tracey, the lengths you go to just to get into Ed's undies..tut tut.

I am now looking for one in my area, I have to try it the next time I get an hour free.

omigod yes!  During a colonic the pressure is a maximum of 2.5 pounds per square inch - less pressure than when you are straining to go to the loo. A colonoscopy can apply 8 pounds per square inch because of the air that is introduced into the bowel- very uncomfortable.

What fluid do you use for the bowel clean?

Right, this fish is going the DIY route. I've got the kit;

8 x Pints of Guiness - To be consumed night before
1 x Biryani, (was gonna be the Jalfrezi but nervous about a Johnny Cash moment), - consume night before
1 x Jar pickled onions - consume night before
3 x Double scotches - consume prior to launch
2 x Double scotches - consume upon successful evacuation
1 x mixer tap adaptable hand held shower jobby, (head removed!!)
1 x Tub of vaseline

All I need now Tracey is the insertion distance...one assumes one doesnt have to go hurtling up through all the bends!

Oh one other point - water pressure - we're not trying to do a jetwash here are we?
