Title: Re: free money? Post by: Graham C on January 13, 2008, 06:34:55 PM Go for it, Back at for say £20 at 28 and you'd need to lay off for £31.11 at 18.00 for a profit of £11.11 regardless of what happened.
I have a hedge calculator if you want a copy of it for future reference (it's in Excel) You basically need a lot of cash in your Betfair account to be able to cover the lay off's but it's an easy way to make a bit of cash from time to time, if you don't make mistakes and the bookies accept your bets. Title: Re: free money? Post by: Longy on January 13, 2008, 06:44:55 PM There are quite a few arbritrage calculators on the internet, which work out balancing your bet for a guarenteed profit. There is one on oddscheker if you go to the power tools menu, and choose the hedging/dutching calcs.
I have given up abritrage betting to concentrate on poker as it is alot harder than it used to be back in the golden days of arbing (1999-2003ish), you could make a comfortable living out of it (I did for a summer) but now various bit of software are picking the bets up too quickly so you have to be lightning quick to get on.
