Title: bongo watch out

rule change on battrick

Quote
The one that seems to have stirred the most interest and controversy is the proposed listing fee. The earlier details left a lot of questions unanswered, which we can now rectify. There will be a 5% listing fee imposed on all players from Sunday, however, in line with the interest payments, this will be capped at £80,000. Additionally, if the player goes on to sell, you will be refunded 80% of this, effectively leaving you with only a 1% addition to your taxes. In other words, if your player sells, the most that you will end up paying in listing fee is £16,000. The agents fees remained unaffected.

means if you list a player too high and he doesnt sell you could lose £80k

so there will be more realistic prices for opening bids i think

I saw that yesterday, promptly listed as many players as I could and pointed out that adding barriers to sales isn't a good way to drop prices.

Prediction: people will moan that lots of players end up being bought by the selling team.

no point buying your own players back as then you have to pay the 1% selling fee and the 5% agents fee instead of just the 5% agents fee

list at 0, buy back if you don't get the price you want.

Only pay 5% fee (of the max bid - not the price you want!), might get more interested parties - only downside is the 42 day contract.
