not sure about san diego even with the handicap, but no strong feeling ,i know new england have not been running the clock out this season with a lead so ive backed new england -14,
like to see giants win they have done fantastic with all the injuries they have and i wouldnt be shcoked if they pulled it off tonight, i noticed green bay kept there feet running the ball well last week, it may have just been the footware seattle where wearing  but seatlle could not adjust on the surface, green bay runners kept skipping sideways rather than running over the defence, seattle defence where just left flatfooted, it wont be as easy for giants tonight stoping the run on this surface,

just been confirmed, uk to have nfl game in 2008, be  interesting to see where they want to play it,

This is a market I know absolutely nothing about.  I hate American football it has too many breaks and too many random celebrations when some wee dude rund 60 yards and doesn't even score a point.  Pointless game IMO.

That said  2 of the boys i work with are massive fans and they always seem to make a profit on these games, I am almost tempted to jump on the bandwagon.

They are both punting similar results to what flushy reckons.

San Diego +14 @ EVS
GBP - 8 @ 10/11

New England and GB to win

Neither to beat the spreads

Be wary of taking Green Bay -8 at odds on in bad conditions

the value bet for the weekend for the brave is the Giants, with their momentum

well i understand what you mean bandit, fair enough, when ive had a few chats about this with friends who never watch, i always ask them to look at it this way ,each play is like a dangerous free kick outside the box in football, players gather round talking what they want to do , fans wondering whats going to happen, whos going to take it, theres a bit of a break in the game then and no ones bothered because they are caught up in the excitement ,yes there are a lot of stoppages but after a while you start to think of what they will do and what you want them to do during the breaks just like our football, all adds to the excitement for me,ive tried to get into basketball and ice hockey ,loved basketball at school , dont have the same appeal for me,

Interesting Tighty why do you think the conditions will make the game closer. I presume its going to be super cold and maybe snowing in Green Bay but sometimes that leads to high scoring games as the secondary can't make the cuts to keep up with receivers. Im steering away from the NFC game i think the handicap looks about on the money.

San Diego look value against New England with 14 points, New England haven't being blowing out teams in the last few weeks and San Diego look a comptent side. I expect New England will win though in a high scoring encounter.

GB vs NYG..NYG Match up ok against the Packers

why? on defense lots of pass rushers that can put pressure on Favre, negating the negative of the field on their secondary

on offense with RB Brandon Jacobs they are built for cold weather too

Whilst i think its safe to say it is a "punt" rather than a solid bet, especially as the Packers are great at home in the play offs..but I have a feel that the Giants are value in this, certainly to beat the spread offered

Can we get a poll, I'm confused.

Are we backing the Giants with a start at lesser odds or we taking them from Scratch?

Whats the best way to back these games am I best going for big singles or a double?

Back the Giants to win on the handicap betting.

I can't see any value in the Patriots vs Chargers game.

in my opinion i dont like just backing 10/11 singles, you loose in the long run, so i always go for a  double each week, winning margin not a bad bet, look at oddschecker odds vary big site to site, i find i get the best odds at paddy power most of the time for winning margins, think if new york do get a lead the coach will take no chances at all and will be happy just to try and stop green bay scoring than extending lead, ive backed green bay 13-18 wining margin, i would back giants to win 7-12 if i where to back them 10/1 sporting bet

SD cover the spread so thats 1 for 1

now need Giants to lose by fewer than 8, or (for a smaller touch) win

me too, what a finishing drive that was by New Eng to take 9 mins off the clock. The weather looks awful in GB too so hopefully it will be a tight ground game.

thats the plan Phil, and the Giants pass rush to prevent Favre from too many big gains to recievers

the Patriots Offensive Line, especially Light and Mankins on the left...absolutely immense...closed the game out superbly for the running game
