I have a Loooooong trip ooop north on friday night, I have printed off a route map but the place i need to get too is down a lot of side streets and being dark i'll struggle like carzy to stay on course, So thought i'd seek advice on a decent affordable sat nav's?  I really only NEED it for this trip (which i'll be doing fairly regular so in time i'll memorise the route) but i would probably end up using it fairly often

halfords was doing some good deals on tom tom with free trafic £135

Do the same with hoovers return after 11months saying it doesnt work properly and they replace it with new 1 no probs you get a new hoover every year then.

Get a TomTom One.  Cheap as chips and will do the job out of the box.

i got an upgrade on my phone recently and it has a sat nav on it

not sure how good it is i will find out when i try driving somewhere where i have no idea of the route but seems a good deal to me a moble phone and a sat nav for free

I iz in need of a new sat nav...preferably a cheap one. Links etc appreciated.

I've got a basic TomTom and it's superb (now under £100 from halfords), also I have sat nav on my phone (Nokia N95) and although I've only used it a little it seems to be quite capable.

I dont have a phone with a sat nav, where did u get your tom tom from? Does it make a difference if its a tom tom, garmin or navman? As long as they do the sam job and dont die on me ill be happy.

Get the cheap Tom Tom.  Dead easy to use and will do 99% of what you need straight out of the box. 

Tom Tom are to sat nav what Nokia are to mobile phones.

I've had 2 TomTom's and I'm more than happy with them (I hope the creep was that nicked the first one...), so much so I've never thought about changing to a different make. I'm sure many people have their own preferences, likes and dislikes.

They are old reviews. The ones they are selling now should have already been updated so no need to do anything! but very easy to do anyway just follow simple instructions.
