The players are off the field for lunch.

A good day for t'briggites, 366-5dec and four early wickets to leave them 25-4. Away from home so can press on and wrap I'd up tomorrow and have the extra day off ahead of Friday's season decider in OD (yes, really).
Debut unbeaten century for Academy graduate Yarwood and a battling debut 34 off 75 for fellow Acad grad Dale 'Bungle' Jeffrey.

disappointing day today, never made inroads into a strong side and they finished the day all out for 441. had 7 overs to see out the day but managed to lose an opener. going to be tough to score against their strong bowling attack,my one saving grace could be the fact that we bat down to number 7.game on.

617-2 at close of play.

A good start to the season, this lot look like my only challengers for supremacy in my new Div 6. They have much stronger batting than bowling so this could end in draw.

A new start for the Magicians.

Have the relegated team today with ratings upto 80k BR.  First run out for my new team at home and the start looks promising (need to buy one more bowler).

Bowled them for 265 and am 15/0 in reply.

A Strong batting line up and a Proficient Bowling line up almost a million in the bank and a good squad size - the only way is down.

Good luck for the season ahead all.

Good start for me as well to my Div V1 Campaign

Bowled out the oppostion for 68 and am 493-3 at the end of play.
Looking to wrap this up tomorrow.

First game for me in Div V where I'm up against four established teams who are far superior to my lot, plus three other promoted teams against whom I feel I can give a good game.

At home to one of the latter today and had a good solid start reaching maximum batting points before ending up at 403-6.   :)up

I'm getting hammered, will be over before luch tomorrow.
All out for 104, then oppo gets well over 300 with only 3 wickets down. I need 5 bowlers...lol

Ok...silly question time.....

Do you declare overnight by setting the declaration box total at the current score?

Sounds daft but in the past I've always added ten or so on to my overnight total, just in case it misses my intended declaration!   ;ashamed;

Current score or below, you'll always bat the first over though (unless they have changed the engine in the off season).

Well, my 1st day in FC div V finished pretty much as expected. Not expecting a point from the fixture, so have put out my weakest 11.

Won the toss and batted, and made a WHOPPING 32AO. Their opening batters with a combined rating of approx 65k put on 309, and they ended on 401-2. I'm 3-0 in the second innings. At least I'll be depriving him of 1 days income, as well as saving me a day's PFL hit!!

GL all for day 2 - vegaslover, you have a batting line up suited for OD, so play your best line up Fridays, not Tuesdays, this season anyway.
If you don't know already, PFL is very important.

Hmm, bowled them out for 77, this is not so good for my batsmen's PFL...

Day 2 of 3. Got them out for 139 although they've started quitebrightly with 20-0 off three following on.

That was a bit of a bargain you got last night for £31k ;)

My match is going as planned.  Just need to make sure I bat another 20overs or so to make sure I don't bowl them out today.

End of Over 93 (10 runs). KBOTW: 601-4, runrate=6.46
Lead by 504 runs. (Kelbrook Krackers 97-10)
Mcdonagh 23-0-137-2
Edgerley-harris* 106 (109 balls)
Conelly 20 (23 balls)

I picked up another spinner (comp/comp/med) for £45k as well, while everyone else was bickering over a resp/med. My nets are now full...

Are you back in VI for FC?

Tougher day for my bowlers and no day off tomorrow as they put up a good fight to reach 236-5 and lead by a handful of runs. Hopefully, I can roll them over quickly and recover by Friday.

yeah had an impossible FC league last year so played just to get gate money last season

this year i have a BOT league FC and will be struggling to avoid play off in OD got to hope AGAIN that they dont understand PFL

Wrapped up my game comfortably today

Declared on 555-3, and bowled them out in 2nd inns for 51.  Win by Innings and 436 to get max points and a days extra rest.
Got a tough OD game coming up on Friday.

End of Over 44 (2 runs, 1lb). Athletico Foxy: 168-5, runrate=3.82 (1st Inn: 403-6 dec)
Lead by 347 runs. (Toddles Heroes 224-10)

Day 2 went well as Foxy bowled the opposition out for 224 and gained a lead of 179.  Decided not to enforce follow on as I'm in unknown territory with regards to stamina now, and then stuttered to 168-5 in 2nd inns.

In a healthy position where I could/should win with overnight lead of 347.

So tempted to declare now but will probably try for another quick 30/40 in the morning.

got lucky this season (i think) finishing 5th in FC last year has meant relegation into Div 6 so now i can play my squad players in the FC games and save my best team for one day league (where i believe i now have to play cossie's sloggers who won promotion to my division)

my FC leage should be a stroll between me and another half decent team (strangely going by the name "monkeyheads" :D) won my game with full bonus points (as did monkeyheads) within 2 days - pity though as i was at home and was looking for full gate money.

hopefully with strongest team in one day league and guaranteed wins in FC games with squad players i can soon build up supporters morale and with the new members still joining put together some decent crowds this season :)

I have a similar league to ironside's last year.. aka impossible!!

4 teams in the top half I'll be lucky to get 1 point from any of them!!

Bowled out for 35 second time round

i'll let the ratings tell the story ( thankfully only 1/2 of my first choice team played)

 Dorset CC     Staples015
Top Order:    proficient    feeble
Middle Order:    mediocre    woeful
Lower Order:    competent    worthless
Seam Bowling:    superb    feeble
Spin Bowling:    respectable    mediocre
Fielding:    woeful    abysmal

Have a very winnable game on Friday, so the full force will be playing in that!

I was bowled out for 978 in the penultimate over of the day and then took a wicket in the final over so should mop the rest of the wickets up pretty quickly on Day 3 assuming all goes according to plan.

I lost by an innings and a 100+ runs
Somehow my bowlers managed to get a bonus point, happy days

Standard way up this year.

Totally stuffed this one up and only now has the pain subsided enough to talk about it!  ;grr;

Set declaration for 200, checked it, and then proceded next day to watch my tail bat on way past this figure before ending up at 271 all out.

Vitally this used up about 34 extra overs which would been enough to claim the 4 remaining wickets oppos had at close of play.   ( bear in mind last four wickets fell in 2 overs first inns!  ;snoopy'sguns;  )

Chance of first div V win and I blew it!   :'(
