just heard Jeremy beadle has died of pneumonia,

He had his critics, but I liked him. He also did a lot for charity over the years. sad news.  :'(

Heard he'd been ill. 

Used to love Game for a Laugh and Beadle's About when I was a kid.

Chip Reese and Beadle, both affluent men in their 50s that die of Pnuemonia. I find it strange, as I associate pneumonia with either the elderly or poverty.

You're probably right. Respect to the bloke - seems like he was much-loved and did a fantastic amount of work for charity. Would that we could all make a mark like that...

he was a legend in itb home games even with a hand named after him.

i know someone who is going to his funeral, there isnt going to be a big spread by all accounts, just a small finger buffet....

apparantly he was his remains composted and spread over his back garden. ITV have already bought up the rights to his new show "Watch out, Beadles a sprout".
