Did the Technical guys find the root problem that was causing SOME peoples computers to have problems? If it was my "signature pic" I apologise unreservedly once again, as previously stated I DID remove this at the moment I was aware people were complaining.

Why did I post it? I liked it, I thought it was very clever and I had hoped people might like it also. My profile accepted it, so as far as I was concerned because of this it would be OK, obviously not. Not being of a technical mind I am unaware of "files sizes" and anything else that may come into play when adding this sort of stuff.

I am the type of guy who likes a quiet life, and would never intentionally upset, annoy or offend anybody (I probably do all 3 to some people), but if I do then as in real life I wish they would tell me to my face. The same can be done here, either in a post or by PM. There are over 8,000 members on blonde, none of us are going to please everybody all of the time. but that is what the forum is about, different opinions (if we were all the same it would be boring), and providing nobody is abusive everything works fine. I find the range of topics discussed on here are wide and varied, serious and humorous, I love it.

Why do I post pics? Plain and simple really, I like pictures, (maybe that puts me in the Sun readers group!!!!!). I am the first to admit I am not as good at expressing myself in words as a high percentage of members here are, I sit in awe at some people's writing abilities.(Not just Red Dog, that man is on a completely different level IMO). There are many on here who write eloquently, concisely with humour and wit, and still manage to portray a picture in my head as I read their posts, I wish I had this skill.

When I post a picture, I do actually try and make it topical (not just for the sake of it), and yes, I also try and make them humorous, I guess some people like them and some don't, but I post them all the same. From my own personal point of view, I find a thread, especially a long one, very difficult to read if it is not broken by the odd pic or two, and I love to see it when OTHERS post pictures also.

I have been out of the UK now 17 months, and blonde has been my link back with the "homeland" and I have enjoyed every minute of it, and I will always be grateful for having been accepted, tolerated by you all, it has meant a lot.

Due to a comment made yesterday I felt (rightly or wrongly)  I was posting to many pictures here on blonde, so I spent a couple of hours searching through my old posts and removing my pics, I hope this will enhance the performance of peoples PC's especially when they are working.

It made me very sad as I removed my pics, I remembered every one of them and my reason for posting it at the time.
It felt like I was tearing up an old family photo album, a chapter of my life has now disappeared ( I can't help my feelings).

I would like to thank those of you who sent me Pm's yesterday and for your comments, it did help. Thank You.

In the future I may post pictures again, I may not, I don't know. As I said previously I like everyone to be happy ALL of the time, but unfortunately this will never happen.

So as you rise this morning, and with your tea and toast, or whatever it is you have there, I wish you all good morning and hope all is well with you.

My friend, noone in their right mind would actually be pissed off with you over not seeing some pictures or Blonde laggin a bit for a day..(if it actually was you that caused the problem by posting too many...I have some doubts, but haven't read the entire thread yet as I don't really care that much about something being a bit slow for a day.)

 In fact, I quite like the pics you post and hope you shall keep it up...I would genuinely miss them if you didn't post them anymore.

No offence meant by post yesterday morning Taxi. If I thought you'd be upset then there is no way I would have posted it. As I said on the previous post, your pictures are fine and I like visual communication. In real life its all about the eyes, the gateway to the soul and online pictures do help cheer the place up.

I don't feel I over reacted, I wrote as I was feeling.

But i respect your opinion as thats what the forum is all about.

Look, I've explained myself twice, and said it wasn't a personal comment and I wasn't upset or offended.  I must confess I'm starting to lose my patience now, and, if I chose to, I could well take your post as a personal dig at me.  If it is, fine, doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Please don't take this personally taxi, but I think you need to put a little perspective on this whole situation - we're talking about a few pictures on a forum ffs - hardly anything of real importance.

I'm not going to edit that post, but I do apologise for the tone of it.  I got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning.

One thing I would say though taxi, and take it from one who knows, don't spend your life bending over backwards doing what you think other people want you to do - you'll end up unhappy.

Your analogy tearing up family photo albums reminded me of a situation I found myself in with my ex.  I am a hoarder by nature, I love keeping little things that remind me of certain times in my life.  When I moved in with my husband I bought boxes of memories with me.  There was no room for my memories, and he asked that I sell anything of value and throw the rest away.  I threw them away with tears in my eyes and he couldn't understand why - it was just 'stuff'.

No one asked you to delete your pics - you did it off your own back because you thought that was what people wanted you to do.  In fact it wasn't.  Even if it was, if the pics meant that much to you don't delete them just because you think it will please someone else.  

Be true to yourself Taxi, only then can you look to be truely happy.
