I have had my Wii for a long time now and I'm looking to invest in a new game.  I dont have any games other than sports and play any tips!?

I'm not into the whole Mario/robots/killing machines thing.  I asked the same question of some friends lately and they said I should try the Carnival game.  Supposed to be good fun and will suit me grand from the sounds of it.

If you're into the other stuff, then my kids recommend:

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games
Mario Party 8
Super Mario Galaxy

the missus wants to get a mario game, will prob end up getting the olimpics as i like multi player games!

I remember Mario party 3 on the N64. Game was full of class

I used to love the Mario games on the old systems.  Either they've gone too intense for my liking or I'm just getting too old to enjoy them...or a bit of both.  lol

i loved mario 64, then again i also really enjoyed Zelda.  Oh the choices...

We got our Wii in August and now have Sports, Play, Excite Truck, Zelda, Big Brain, FIFA 08, Rabbids 2, Lego Saga, Olympics, Galaxy, Metroid.

FIFA is good fun. If you have wireless internet you can play across the net.

Rabbids is a fantastic party game. Drinking lemonade and seeing how much of Paris you can knock down with a burp is hard to beat.

Olympics is brilliant. 4 way sprints, archery, fencing etc. etc. Great fun.

I loved Halo on the PC and Metroid is excellent.

Galaxy is visually stunning and the kids love it. If you like platform games, get it.

Thank you mate, the problem i face is the choice is huge as i dont have any games!  I need to bite the bullet and invest !!

Roughly how long from ordering to receiving barbell? Requested mine a couple of weeks back but no sign of them yet.

At least 4 weeks for mine to arrive and it says on the site within 6 weeks.

Zelda!!

there is a new fully featured bowling game coming out, which maybe of interest to those who like the bowling. there is one out at the moment  but apparantly it is rubbish.

looking forward to pro-evo 2008, that looks the business.

I play Mario & Sonic at the Olympics alot - it's a brilliant game.  Got to watch out for what I call 'Wii Arms' the next day though - they ache like mad if you play too much.

PDC World Championship Darts 2008 comes out on Friday.  No idea if that'll be good.

tiger woods for the wii is amazing-so realistic. also table tennis by rockstar (them that GTA) is a great 2 player game

on a side note i just had a look at the rockstar site and they have a few clips up for the GTA IV out in a couple of months -looks exellent

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and you can try Links Crossbow Training too thats pretty fun. My mate has it and its amazing. I love Zelda, played all of them! :)

I went with Zelda, thanks for the help.  my decision was made for me as the shop didnt have mario olimpics or galaxy.  will have to get them later on!  pretty impressed with zelda so far takes me back to my N64 days!

Bowling best is 288, although mate has beat that with 300. Didn't realize you could go online with your wii and currently trying to work out what i am doing.

Ah Zelda, good choice.  Haven't had time to play mine for a couple of weeks but I've got a whole evening free on Thursday so will prob dig it out ... either that or get the mum round and go for a drive  ;D

OK Zelda fans whats your favourite Zelda? Mine would be either Link to the Past on the SNES or Ocarina of Time for the N64! Majora's Mask sucked in my opinion, so did Windwaker, sailing around in a boat ;technolog;

The only Zelda i really got into was on the N64 and i loved it!  I am pretty impressed with the game so far on Wii, i have only played for an hour or so but i have been riding a horse and fishing etc.  So far so good!  I'm looking forward to playing tonight!!  Need to catch a fish so i can get hold of a cat to give to the lady at the shop so she will sell me a slingshot!  all good!

Zelda Ocarina of Time probably my fave. The Wii one took about 50 hours of gameplay, so you've got a few hours left yet :). Once you've finished, take a look at Zack & Wiki Barbaros' Treasure. Started playing that a couple of days ago and it's brilliant - looks like a kids game but takes me back to Monkey Island or Sam & Max. And uses the Wii controller really well.

Ive just been turned into a wolf!  all is going well at the moment, really happy with my choice.

Has anyone played the carnival, funfair game yet?? It is the top selling game on play.

I havent played it mate, i was looking at that but didnt think i was it's target audience.

I've got the Carnival game. It's ok for £15. Wouldn't pay any more. About 30 mini-games basically. Kids like it - they can manage most of the games. As usual with this kind of thing, some of the games are fun, some not so fun.

We still only have the sports as everything else looks a bit...well... crap and definetly not worth 40£ a game.

I'd get the Mario Olympics thing but I'm not 13 YO anymore and don't like playing with Mario or Sonic the hedgehog.

BTW..(just because it's drive Mrsboldie nuts)..did you know you can get a rating of over 2000 on the sports?..even though the computer oppo's only get to 2k?..Well that's the way the tennis works anyways :)

Its a sequel to to Knights of the Old Republic games. Apparently its set after Episode III and before Episode IV the only thing that sucks is that its only out on the NextGen consoles, I still have a PS2 and Xbox ;marks;

yeah that's it!..Now all I nbeed is a Ninja/Samurai game for the Wii and I'm a happy man :)

Only Wii Ninja game I know of, but its kinda not really a cool Ninja game, just looks like 3D Street Fighter! ;shame;

yeah there is also a gingerbread ninja thing which looks awful. I just want a Tekken style ninja game for the Wii..it would make my year :)

Ninja game would be cool if you control the sword movement, like the new Zelda. Not a Beat em' up game. First person Ninja game = sold! ;starwars;

When the new Starwars comes out then I will buy my Wii, I dont really fancy swapping the value of a gold bar for some plastic and electronic bits! I have learnt from my mistake of buying a laptop for 800 and then seeing it for 400 two months later!!

Just set mine up to go on the net and tried some of the other channels. Does anyone know if and how you can play against other players online via the Wii?
