Title: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: amcgrath1uk on February 05, 2008, 12:06:29 PM Got one of my few winnable games this year in FC.. my focus is still the OD game, however I've put out a fairly strong team
batting 1st we're 118-1 from 26 overs, good start :) Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: booder on February 05, 2008, 12:10:39 PM End of Over 27 (3 runs). Henham CC: 35-5, runrate=1.30
Anton 9-5-9-4 Mcgouran* 13 (31 balls) Oconnor 0 (0 balls) Last Wicket: Mcinally c & b. Anton 0 (FOW: 35/5) i might have a chance at winning this one.. Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 05, 2008, 12:27:23 PM End of Over 32 (1 runs). Thame Town: 81-6, runrate=2.53
Looking good for me so far, however the pitch is uneven so that score might be flattering my bowlers a little. His keeper/bat with awesome conc is still in atm, so he could add to that score! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bazzaboy on February 05, 2008, 12:43:50 PM I have them at 45-9. Things start to get tougher from next week onwards in my FC campaign.
Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: divaflava on February 05, 2008, 12:53:32 PM LOL, 45-9.
36-7 - 2nd string vs a bot. Looks like my acad grads and trainees might only have to bat for four and a half sessions not the five and a half I thought might be the case (home game). Won't be posting updates, unless one of the new lads gets a triple century in 100balls or something equallly improbable. See you Friday! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: amcgrath1uk on February 05, 2008, 01:46:43 PM 49.3 3 Craddock to Ashieq
Ashieq is unlucky not to get four runs after some amazing fielding from Osmond. And that's a century for Ashieq! Well played indeed Sir! 228-1 and the other guy is on 89no Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 05, 2008, 04:05:25 PM End of Over 32 (1 runs). Thame Town: 81-6, runrate=2.53 Looking good for me so far, however the pitch is uneven so that score might be flattering my bowlers a little. His keeper/bat with awesome conc is still in atm, so he could add to that score! End of Over 84 (2 runs, 1lb). Thame Town: 215-10, runrate=2.56 Keeper/bat hits 131no. Neverends! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bazzaboy on February 05, 2008, 04:40:39 PM The players are off the field for the change of innings.
End of Over 50 (5 runs). KBOTW: 368-0, runrate=7.36 Lead by 317 runs. (Pomtastic 51-10) Proudlock 3-0-24-0 Hadland* 189 (167 balls) Beattie 169 (139 balls) Pity I took 10overs to take their last wicket earlier or I would have had a chance of finishing the match inside a day. Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: amcgrath1uk on February 05, 2008, 04:41:48 PM Am currently 429-3.
Mpho has 190no closing in on his second FC double century. Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Nakor on February 05, 2008, 08:16:50 PM Getting slaughtered - again my batsmen don't turn up.
Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Newportlad on February 05, 2008, 08:27:09 PM Playing against a bot.
Bowled them out for 31, and at end of play i'm 448-3 with my reserves out. Getting 3 days play out of this one could be the problem Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: vegaslover on February 06, 2008, 05:55:26 AM My bowlers are so Poor, oppos are 380-9. Nos 10 and 11 are both in the 40s.
Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 06, 2008, 12:47:55 PM Going ok for me now, was a bit touch and go when one of my best bats got out last night!
End of Over 61 (2 runs). Bigglesthwaite CC: 195-4, runrate=3.20 Trail by 20 runs. (Thame Town 215-10) I've set the declaration to 360 to hopefully pick up max batting points and have a go at them tonight before the weather changes to sunny tomorrow. Maybe I should have been slightly more aggressive with that and sacrificed some batting points? With a bit of luck I should get 25overs at them tonight - maybe more if I pick up the pace (or get bowled out!) 2 of my good bats still in, so hopefully this won't bok them! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: divaflava on February 06, 2008, 02:41:56 PM My bowlers are so Poor, oppos are 380-9. Nos 10 and 11 are both in the 40s. Yo bowlers so porr, las' time they bowled a maiden over, it woz ur momma! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 06, 2008, 02:46:58 PM Looks like I'll get bowled out before declaring.
I have a nice lead, hopefully get 40+ overs to make inroads tonight, then can chase down a small total in the sun tomorrow. Disley has been a star for me yet again, scored over half of my runs and isn't out yet! ;) Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 06, 2008, 02:57:47 PM Get exactly 40 then!
End of Over 96 (Maiden). Bigglesthwaite CC: 313-10, runrate=3.26 Lead by 98 runs. (Thame Town 215-10) Shame I couldn't get 7 more for the extra bonus point... Disley* 184 (237 balls) - nice knock! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 06, 2008, 03:13:58 PM End of Over 1 (6 runs). Thame Town: 6-2, runrate=6.00 (1st Inn: 215-10)
My boy doesn't like being hit for 6! Annoyingly, it brings his demon keeper in to bat already. Let's hope the new ball can sort him out! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 06, 2008, 03:58:43 PM 12.3 W Foot to Ngubane
Well, that's a tenner I've just lost! I had money on Ngubane surviving the innings not out. Credit to Foot, though. Not a bad little yorker. Pretty good commentary, seeing as it's random! Not too sure about the captains decision to remove hall from the attack: Hall 4-0-21-3 Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: divaflava on February 06, 2008, 04:06:30 PM I know I said I was bot-bashing so wouldn't post... but it's not a bad debut by the lad Powell
147.3 6 Keogh to Powell Pulled high over mid wicket. Turner misjudges and comes in when he should have stayed back. The ball drops just over the boundary rope. 400!! Don't see that very often. 147.2 3 Keogh to Mcaliskey Classy shot from Mcaliskey, clipping it off his legs wide of mid on. Mee gives chase. 147.1 1 Keogh to Powell Runs the ball down to third man for a single. End of Over 147 (4 runs). Gorseybrigg old boys: 925-6, runrate=6.29 Lead by 866 runs. (LLW 59-10) Clasisse 34-0-215-2 Powell* 395 (376 balls) Mcaliskey 32 (47 balls) Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Ironside on February 06, 2008, 06:01:04 PM i won in 2 days
Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 06, 2008, 06:03:48 PM End of Over 40 (7 runs). Thame Town: 129-5, runrate=3.23 (1st Inn: 215-10)
Lead by 31 runs. (Bigglesthwaite CC 313-10) Hopeful I can get a win now! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bazzaboy on February 06, 2008, 06:06:48 PM Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: KeithyB on February 06, 2008, 06:07:24 PM Up against one of the four teams where I look hopelessly outclassed and so it's proving as they batted all day yesterday to reach 479-6 before declaring. ;surrender;
Dug in today with defensive tactics and Openers then saw out the final twenty overs to end up 49-0. So, with better weather tomorrow, any chance of batting of the final day for a miraculous draw I wonder? :o Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: amcgrath1uk on February 06, 2008, 11:06:12 PM after scoring 495, bowled them out for 93 1st time round, 2nd time my strike bowlers havent performed as well but I still have them 151-7.
easy win and hopefully bowl them out first thing to save fitness levels! Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Bongo on February 07, 2008, 01:46:43 PM Just won my game, made a bit of a meal of the chase though!
End of Over 28 (2 runs). Bigglesthwaite CC: 49-3, runrate=1.75 (1st Inn: 313-10) Lead by 1 runs. (Thame Town 215-10 & 146-10) Foot got some great figures in the match: 1st innings: Foot 15-4-36-4 2nd Foot 22.3 13-18-6 Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: Newportlad on February 07, 2008, 07:10:15 PM Another comfortable win for me.
The margin was an innings and 470 runs. Maximum points after 2 games. Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: vegaslover on February 08, 2008, 12:31:37 AM Won my first game of the season.
They got 384 first innings I got 365-6 dec (forgot I had put a declaration in before game) They got 111 2nd innings I got 131-3 Bought a new 17 year old just before the game and forgot to give him bowling orders first innings. His 2nd innings stats were: 8-5-5-4 Title: Re: battrick 05/02 FC games Post by: KeithyB on February 08, 2008, 10:31:56 PM Up against one of the four teams where I look hopelessly outclassed and so it's proving as they batted all day yesterday to reach 479-6 before declaring. ;surrender; Dug in today with defensive tactics and Openers then saw out the final twenty overs to end up 49-0. So, with better weather tomorrow, any chance of batting of the final day for a miraculous draw I wonder? :o That would be a no then! ;whistle; Decent effort though lasting 95 overs for my 220 all out. Lot of wasted effort overall for no reward but I needed to get confirmation of exactly how competitive I'll be this season. Basically top four and bottom four are in two mini leagues! My first ever first class defeat too! :'( |
