It seems to be the way ahead - witness the NFL game in London.

There was a proposal last season that Celtic play Hearts in Australia, a proper league game, for a big wedge of cash - it was shot down.

I think this will come as the TV rights in other countries are valuable, BUT it'll push on the clubs' agenda of individual TV rights.

Seems a bit unfair to have the title potentially decided by a random fixture?

i gather the games would be played in January, first game back after a short Xmas break

to avoid a title or relgation decider being played in say, Singapore, in May

Play these games during the Xmas period - the players and managers love that part of the season.  I think the one thing the Premiership needs is more games every season.

I'd love to see the look on some foreign stadium owner's face when he's told that the game he's been allotted is Reading v Middlesborough.

He doesn't even get alloted it though, they have to bid for games.  You'd certainly want to know which games you were likely to get before bidding. 

I don't see it as a good step forward for football.  We need to work out a way to reduce the money involved imo, not increase it by selling off more matches to foreign stadium owners.

I think its a great idea, think of the much needed exposure & money it will bring in to the Sky League.

From what I've heard there will be 4 teams playing in 5 cities. Instead of playing one game why don't they all stay there for a week & play each other once meaning 6 games in each city generating even more exposure & cash, it would be amazin!!!!

good idea i think, only wish rangers were in the prem.

tbh i wouldnt mind starting in the conference to get there, dont know if we would be allowed to get in at that level even, but revenue lost from conference to prem would surely be made up in one or two years in the prem, it is the place to be.

Why do they need to make a 39th game, just take a match between 2 major names abroad. It worked for the NFL
