£1000 spending money for summer holiday after £1200 hospital bill made kids holiday better than mine

A weekend away, a new cooker and plenty of dips in for bills last of which was last week for the car insurance.

2 flights and a week in a villa in Spain.  Best ever holiday cos it felt as though it was a "Free" holiday!!!

Mostly I paid off my many debts from uni, I don't seem to splash out often, even if I have a big win, I'm too tight lol.  (Or too sick which means all of my money goes on poker).  I did splash out on something once, but I don't think it's really fit for forum consumption...:S

Laser treatment for the missus's eyes and getting the kitchen done.

Ive got my sister and her 3 youngest kids 2 holidays to the haven and bought them all new clothes for every day they were there. The joy the kids get out of going on holiday and shopping for their holidays is fantastic and they are continually talking about their next trip in a few months to see 'rory', a large stuffed tiger that sings and dances....lol   That gives me more pleasure than buying anything for myself but I have enjoyed blowing money on higher stakes even though Ive lost most of it.......................  Maybe if I have a really big win I can take them all to disney in florida. My sister has never left Scotland and she would be so chuffed :)  C'mon the victory!!

They are all technically re-investments into poker. Altho the 1st one costs more than it makes me. The other 2 have paid for themselves.

I have no idea how this happens but every time I win at poker my wife manages to find ways to spend the money on herself :(

My best prize? A poker lesson from Paul Parker. I didn't even realise I'd had one until a few days after leaving Ireland and thinking about my game and what made him stand head and shoulders above the rest in the Omaha comp.

Now I can find qualify to sit at the same table as Thewy for one of this years events I'll be a happy man (Though sitting at the same table as Pau Parker again in Notts in March would be grand as well)

Drink Drink and umm ... ... more drink. I really should re-invest it in poker exploits oh well i remember most of what i spent it on lol.

this reminds me of a mate of mine a few years back who shall remain anonymous.

after a successful night at a game in bedford he drove back to luton in the early hours of the morning, feeling good about himself due to finishing the night a few hundred up and feeling a little horny he decided to venture to the red light district behind the old casino to see who was out.
he picked up a girl early 20s nice figure and pretty, one he said he had never seen before.
after driving to a quiet location he negotiated with the girl and without going into to much details he agreed £20 for a handjob.

he payed her up front and sat back in his chair to enjoy. a few minutes later she offered to give him a bj for no extra cost. it must be my lucky night he thought to himself winning poker and this as well.

anyway he done what he set out to do, dropped the girl off and went on his way.

when he arrived home he got his wallet out to check the exact sum of his nights work to find his wallet empty.

whilst he sat back and thought of england she had emptied the pockets of his jeans that were around his ankles while she had gave him his freebie "extra" rotflmfao
