Title: Respect the Notes or Respect the Play? Post by: jjandellis on February 10, 2008, 05:26:53 PM OK, quite early in Million $39 Sat. A player I have sat with has been ribbing me telling the other players that I am down on his notes as 'a bulsh*tter that pushes in position - which I have no problem with as its quite untrue but I don't mind him telling others this...
Anyway this hand occurs, with a guy called Nicosia(or something like that) and I have him down as a player that calls down to the river with nothing (or a draw)...and this has already been witnessed in this tourney... OK so I'm dealt KK early and the action to the river is as follows: PokerStars Game #15193836641: Tournament #76070101, $36+$3 Hold'em No Limit - Level III (25/50) - 2008/02/10 - 12:03:16 (ET) Table '76070101 23' 9-max Seat #4 is the button Seat 1: cinbear (1527 in chips) Seat 2: nicosina (2650 in chips) Seat 3: Bda_Gus (1325 in chips) Seat 4: giapapaya (105 in chips) is sitting out Seat 5: JSY_GARY (1433 in chips) Seat 6: Pot's Raised (1805 in chips) Seat 7: Zwetty (1905 in chips) Seat 8: BadArthur666 (1125 in chips) Seat 9: jjandellis (1615 in chips) JSY_GARY: posts small blind 25 Pot's Raised: posts big blind 50 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to jjandellis [Kc Kd] Zwetty: folds BadArthur666: folds jjandellis: raises 100 to 150 cinbear: folds nicosina: calls 150 Bda_Gus: folds giapapaya: folds JSY_GARY: folds Pot's Raised: folds *** FLOP *** [3h 9c Js] jjandellis: bets 180 nicosina: calls 180 *** TURN *** [3h 9c Js] [2d] jjandellis: bets 350 nicosina: calls 350 *** RIVER *** [3h 9c Js 2d] [4h] jjandellis: bets 750 nicosina: raises 750 to 1500 I must admit I kinda took my eye of the game (football) just before my river bet and so it was quite a poor one in relation to my stack. He has stuck me all in. I have seen him do this before with nothing or 2nd pair/top pair poor kicker. So what do you do...put him on trips and respect his play or go with past experience????? I'll reveal the results in a bit... Title: Re: Respect the Notes or Respect the Play? Post by: GlasgowBandit on February 10, 2008, 05:48:49 PM I bet a bit more on the flop 225 ish and then get a big bet in on the turn.

Title: Re: Respect the Notes or Respect the Play? Post by: scotty2hatty on February 10, 2008, 09:52:26 PM What's happening here? Are you asking what to do now that you have been raised? You only started the hand with 1615 and have 185 left after the river bet.
