The rest is essentially bollox mate. You either like the taste or you don't..and if you don't you should just quit. It also tastes vile and in the morning nothing smell worse than a full ashtray. Goodluck to you. Title: Re: giving up Post by: Shogun112 on February 12, 2008, 09:34:23 PM - Your bank account will be much healthier.
- You will be much healthier. - When you eat food it will taste like it should do. - You will live longer. - When you walk out for a smoke and then return, the non-smokers wont think how smelly you are. - When you do the kissing thing, your partner will think it is much ncier. - You will be able to excercise without struggling to breathe. - Sex will last longer.. - You will not wake up in the morning wanting to cough up your guts. - You will not catch as many colds as before because you dont have to go stand out in the cold like a leper at pubs and casinos. - you will be able to stick 2 finger up at the govenment on budget day as the increased tax on cigs will not affect you any more. - Your house will smell nicer to visitors. and there is many more things which I am sure will be added to... Took me 4 to 5 weeks to not want any more cigs any more, but was well worth it... Cheers Carl.. Title: Re: giving up Post by: steeveg on February 12, 2008, 09:34:35 PM looking healthy, feeling healthy, not having to sneak outside everytime you got out just for a smoke, when your older you will really feel the benifit believe me its true, gl m8 you know it means a better life , more money and better health
Title: Re: giving up Post by: Grier78 on February 12, 2008, 10:38:54 PM If you put the money you would have spent on fags into a high interest account then after 50 years you will have a million quid, you might also still be alive in 50 years.

All i found for the first couple of weeks if its any help, change your routine completly, try and find things do, even if they are crappy jobs that have needed doing for ages, keep your day busy and it will get easier.. I did not play poker, or go online in the evening for a week.. ok not long, but enough to break the back off the habit of sitting in front of lappy smoking etc.. the house was spotless, the yard clean, drains cleaned, every nook and cranny done.. DIY, and if you drink, try and stay off that as well just for a week or 2.. GL.. Sense of smell and taste are back, very strange. Yeah I actually spat out a fried egg that was fried in Olive oil (the cheap stuff and i hate olive oil in the first place) a few days after I quit smoking..to actually properly taste something which you didn't like is something else. On the plus side.....well...have I mentioned yet that I can breathe better? Title: Re: giving up Post by: Colchester Kev on February 13, 2008, 04:44:34 PM thanks all. still holding out.
