it's a good idea, just choose the location with care & think about whether you're gonna use taxi's or a hire car Title: Re: Renting an apartment for the WSOP Post by: londonpokergirl on February 19, 2008, 10:23:55 AM Have a word with Joe Beevers, he's done this too

Im currently renting a house in Summerlin which is about 20 mins from the strip. We are currently renting a car but will be buying 1 soon. So as Julian says location is something you really need to look at. If you want Summerlin I can put you in touch with a really good agent. If you want a different area to a search for Remax agents. There are a lot of houses for rent right now in Vegas but not many that are fully furnished and have a pool. Short term leases are also hard to come by. As you are english they cant do a credit check on you so they will look for proof of income and bank balance to accept your application. If there is 3-4 or more of you I would look to rent its not easy to get a place or to find the right place but it will be worth it when you get it. feel free to pm me if you want more details jim Title: Re: Renting an apartment for the WSOP Post by: womble on February 19, 2008, 11:06:00 PM Karl
As Julian said we rented a great 4 bedroom house with pool, jacuzzi, etc. in 2006 - unfortunately we did not check the location (it was in Southern Highlands) which resulted in a half hour drive to the Strip. That said it was tremedous value about $600 per week. We used vrbo.com to source the property, which means you are dealing direct with the home owner not an agent. I sent the deposit by bank transfer and paid cash for the remainder once we were there. Its really tricky getting them to pick you up on time and we missed the start of our first 2 events. You need to get a hire car definately so dont forget that to add that to the price.
