Title: Saturday Afternoon in Nottingham Post by: scotty2hatty on February 20, 2008, 05:20:36 PM I'm going down to Nottingham to play at DTD at the weekend. Our flight gets in early so I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I should be heading from the airport to chill out at a pub? Somewhere with a bookies nearby and showing skysports would be sweet.
Any suggestions appreciated. Title: Re: Saturday Afternoon in Nottingham Post by: Ironside on February 20, 2008, 05:34:14 PM hooters it has every sport on multi screens

Airport is miles away, Hooters is an option but I can't think of a bookies near it. My reccomendation would be to go to the southbank or TBI in Bridgford (my locals lol) both have multiple sports screens and have a ladbrokes on the corner right near them. They are right near the Forest, The river trent and cricket grounds for a bit of local culture lol. You will get zero trouble here as this is middle class side of Notts. If you want to go into Nottingham they are quite a few options off the main market square which has a Laddies on it and Walkabout is a 5 minute walk away. Any idea of an approx. taxi cost from airport to Bridgford? Title: Re: Saturday Afternoon in Nottingham Post by: Longy on February 20, 2008, 07:52:27 PM No idea mate, its about 10 miles i think, abit closer than Nottingham city centre as its the right side of the city for the airport.

Yeh go Southbank it's decent in there and has everything you need Title: Re: Saturday Afternoon in Nottingham Post by: Josedinho on February 21, 2008, 09:18:58 AM If you really fancy hooters there is a bookies just up the road from the station which isn't that far from Hooters.
If you're only taking one trip to the bookies then it'd be alright but if it's a popping in and out jobby then i'd go Southbank |
