Title: Anyone up for a road trip? the blondepoker Waterford Open in June
Post by: TightEnd on February 21, 2008, 01:26:53 PM

Looks like a good weekend schedule and great structure for the comps

We'll be running online sats from April onwards

being held in Tramore, a lovely seaside town right on the Southern tip of Ireland (Waterford airport and South!)

Anyone interested in an blonde away-day weekend across the Irish Sea?

If anyone needs help planning the trip, give me a shout and I'll do what I can to sort you out.

Places will only be held for those who qualify on line.  This is because of the cancellation of teams for this weekends event which has cost Blonde a lot of money.

I'll play the sats no matter what...a full package would be much appreciated though as it eases the pressures of us normal working folk a bit for me.

550 ME..sHotel 100 a night (?) for 4 or five nights and 400 for flights (euro's for all) so a 1300£ (roundabout 1700 euro's these days?) would cover it....a 250$ sat would give one in 10 people a seat.. (justabout) and you could run a few 22$ freezeout sats to that.

That would be my idea of ideal but it might of course not suit everybody.

Does this replace the Open scheduled for March (which I was hoping to go over for), or is it in addition?  If the latter, are there going to be any sats for the March event?

As of today the agreement between blonde Poker and Big Slick events has been terminated. This is an amicable and mutual decision.

blonde Poker will not now be associated with the June event, or subsequent events.

I think we had two players signed up to Tramore in June, M3Boy and Karabiner. Just to emphasise that as far as both blonde and Big Slick are concerned this players can travel and play as planned and will be welcome at the event.

it will be a great tourney, as usual. I thoroughly recommend Big Slick's tournaments, superbly run.

Just blonde Poker is no longer involved with it thats all.
