Title: Snakes Post by: Graham C on February 25, 2008, 09:28:26 PM Man, I hate snakes, one of my biggest dislikes.
Attenborough does it well though Title: Re: Snakes Post by: Pelham Boy on February 25, 2008, 09:37:30 PM Me too. My biggest phobia by far.
Title: Re: Snakes Post by: Graham C on February 25, 2008, 09:41:32 PM Hate snakes with a vengeance. Missus thinks its funny when round friends to give my little boy the snake to come near me... Big knives were invented especially for em IMO... You have a snake in your house :o :o Yep, snakes and spiders for me. Title: Re: Snakes Post by: HOLDorFOLD on February 25, 2008, 09:55:18 PM Snakes I'm ok with - to an extent. My sis in law has a tarantula - she has its shed skin thing sitting on top of the glass case and I shit myself when i first went round there - thought it was the live thing being let out to wander.
Title: Re: Snakes Post by: Sark79 on February 25, 2008, 10:15:32 PM Such a great TV show. We used to have a couple of Corn Snakes when I was a Kid, I can't remember too much about them though as I was about 5 yrs old at the time . I like Snakes .

I've always liked snakes since my dad showed me how to catch adders. My brother's got a corn snake & my 3 year old neice loves holding it. Title: Re: Snakes Post by: celtic on February 25, 2008, 11:40:11 PM holdorfold has a picture to rival the nuns ;kev;
Title: Re: Snakes Post by: Graham C on February 25, 2008, 11:55:26 PM He had a corn snake on the program, they're the red and black next to each other then yellow aren't they? Or is it red then yellow with black? One was really deadly, the other (corn snake) was fine.
Perhaps I'd better learn the difference. There was a saying to remember it by but I can't remember hat either :D Title: Re: Snakes Post by: KingPoker on February 26, 2008, 12:09:17 AM He had a corn snake on the program, they're the red and black next to each other then yellow aren't they? There was a saying to remember it by but I can't remember hat either :D Dont follow that song, i think the song depends on which country u r in, so it could be the poisonous one lol. I have no problems with them, probably coz they make me laugh as my brother is petrified of em. I found a dead one once and ran after him with it, such a girl! And the fact we went to a reptile centre in primary school and they put a boa over 4 of us, probably wouldnt even be allowed to do that now with H+S. Title: Re: Snakes Post by: Woody502 on February 26, 2008, 05:33:45 AM Snakes have never really bothered me which is good as living in Australia there are many varieties that can do untold damage. Spiders on the other hand give me the creeps and I cannot stand them nothing worse than coming face to face with a huntsman first thing in the morning.
A report in the local paper yesterday regarding a snake attack http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,23268206-3102,00.html Title: Re: Snakes Post by: AndrewT on February 26, 2008, 11:17:41 AM AAARRRGGGHHHH Missed the show!! Corn snakes (also known as Rat snakes) are a different type - the ones you're thinking about & that Bainn's got the rhyme for are Coral snakes, and a couple of different snakes that mimic it to keep predators off - the Coral snake is deadly. (http://www.mun.ca/biology/scarr/Coral_snake_mimics.gif) (http://www.applegatereptiles.com/species/pueblan.jpg) Milk Snake. (http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/1004/50215430.JPG) Corn Snake. Corn snakes are a highly popular snakes as pets - ironically they havve sufficient venom to kill a man, but no way to deliver it. Ah good (I wasn't sure whether the show was repeated on the Monday or the Sunday) - I'd rather watch it on TV to get the benefit of the specacular filming.
