i won the itv7 in 1984 at the age of 16. i done a 2 in each race perm for £1.28 and paid the 13p tax for a total stake of £1.41

it was irish derby day and el gran senor was hot favourite for what was the last leg of the itv7. i also had an outsider which would have gave me a fortune if it came in but el gran senor was to good for them all.

for my 1p stake i picked up just over £130 what a wondeful day it was.

Individual: Macho Man Randy Savage

Tag Team: the Hart Foundation or Demolition (Ax & Smash)

Technically, I'd go for Chris Benoit, Bret Hart or Christopher Daniels. These guys are near flawless in the ring, but unfortunately don't cut it on the mic.

For showmanship, Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, Andre The Giant, Macho Man Randy Savage are all great characters but can't boast the in ring ability of others.

I think there are a few sometimes overlooked wrestlers that deserve a mention such as Eddy Guerrero, Mr Perfect, The Dynamite Kid, Rowdy Roddy Piper and, in particular, Ted Dibiase, who, in my mind, is one of the greatest heels that ever lived.

Overall, if you combine all aspects of the performance, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Steve Austin and Triple H are all legends of the industry.

However, the greatest wrestler of all time is undoubtedly Ric Flair. Watch the Four Horsemen documentary, his Royal Rumble victory in '92, his spectacular mic work and his unbelievable ability to still entertain at 60, and you'll realise why.

Randy Savage had tremendous in ring ability resulting from his strong gymnastic background. They way he leap over ropes and his double axe handle and elbow drop from the top rope were pure class.

Agree the likes of Mr Perfect and Ted DiBiase often get over looked. Another one who I think gets overlooked is the Great Muta.

Best lightweight is between Chris Beniot and Justin Thunder Liger. AJ Styles is also up there.

Yes, that's fair enough. He may not have been in Benoit or Angle's league, but he was certainly capable in the ring.

Technically The Dynamite Kid - think carbon copy of Benoit but 20 years earlier. Angle could have been better.

Showman wise probably Hulk Hogan.

The complete package is either Austin or The Rock.

Shawn Michaels has more five star matches, More PWI fight of year awards (8), tells a great story in the ring and can play heel or face excellently. He will go down as the best pro of all time.imo.

Hulk will always be the greatest babyface. (although he did a pretty good job as a heel with NWO)

Flair is the best heel by far.

Not sure how people can pick the Ultimate Warrior. I watched a WWE show recently about him and he's pretty much the most hated man there is, couldn't wrestle and was a right ass to others. How many years was he actually at the top? He appears from time to time when someone needs a quote that is controversial.
