Title: PLO long way from home Post by: Ironside on March 04, 2008, 05:00:45 PM your in the £200 PLO at dtd and are a long way from money
your basically still got 10k you started with 2 lots of 5k there are a few limpers into a pot and it comes down with Kh 9h 6c your holding Jh 8h Tc Qc paul jackson leads out at the pot and gets called your next to act with one player behind paul has about 7k caller has about 27k not sure of the blinds etc but a full pot raise by you was too 7.2k putting paul all in and basically committing yourself to pushing on turn do you push with the best draw or do you wait for it to hit? Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: ACE2M on March 04, 2008, 05:06:45 PM very clear flat call, do not raise here!!!!
Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: Ironside on March 04, 2008, 05:28:16 PM very clear flat call, do not raise here!!!! please explain Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: ACE2M on March 04, 2008, 05:32:23 PM very clear flat call, do not raise here!!!! please explain tell me one good thing that comes of raising Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: ACE2M on March 04, 2008, 05:41:41 PM you are only getting real action from sets and nut flush draws, probably both if the chips go in given the odds on offer, this is horrible for your hand.
I deal situation in this spot is to keep in the straight wraps similar to yours and get it in on the turn free rolling the flush if the straight hits and forcing out the bigger draws (sets/nut flush). Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: AlexMartin on March 04, 2008, 06:00:06 PM very clear flat call, do not raise here!!!! please explain tell me one good thing that comes of raising you price out the nut flush draw and might get hands that are currently beating you (like 666) to pass. Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: ACE2M on March 04, 2008, 06:55:59 PM very clear flat call, do not raise here!!!! please explain tell me one good thing that comes of raising you price out the nut flush draw and might get hands that are currently beating you (like 666) to pass. you don't price out the flush draw and he is most likely the big stack. you want to keep 666/999 in if hes not raising as you aren't going to get busy unless you hit your hand anyway. Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: AlexMartin on March 04, 2008, 07:02:06 PM very clear flat call, do not raise here!!!! please explain tell me one good thing that comes of raising you price out the nut flush draw and might get hands that are currently beating you (like 666) to pass. you don't price out the flush draw and he is most likely the big stack. you want to keep 666/999 in if hes not raising as you aren't going to get busy unless you hit your hand anyway. Erm, need to know the blinds etc but most of the time yeah we do. He deffo aint getting 3-1, and he needs more like 4-1 as we hold 2 hearts. I totally disagree with you buddy, but thats cool. Edit- im talking about other players behind ACE, not Paul. And the money we lose by turn pairing/bricking makes this a clear shove and NOT a call. Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on March 04, 2008, 07:03:09 PM Jam
Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: NoflopsHomer on March 04, 2008, 07:11:55 PM Jamming is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad here. With a bet and a call, assume your flush draw is dead tbh. In a cash game, you should jam, but here you have to flat.
P.S Paul can easily have a two pair/better flush draw combo or something similar here. Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: ACE2M on March 04, 2008, 07:13:13 PM tells us bets and blinds please ironside.
i'm making the assumption that paul ain't folding, although i've assumed that ironsides raise is giving paul the chance to be all in, which lets the big stack with presumed nut flush draw know his exposure which should afford him the odds to call. Title: Re: PLO long way from home Post by: ACE2M on March 04, 2008, 07:15:13 PM HU it's jamtastic. but you have to assume set and nut flush draw which is a v v v bad spot.
