Title: Favouritism or Common Sense with the hope of consistancy to come? Post by: Graham C on March 04, 2008, 07:17:03 PM I see Lampard has had his red card revoked by the powers that be. It amuses me that he can have his card removed only a few days after Aliadiere's appeal was unsuccessful, but perhaps common sense is finally going to prevail?

Did he kick out his legs onto the opponent - yes - so under the rules I dont see how it can be overturned. Gallas not getting banned for kicking Nani was enough of a joke.
I don't think Alliadaire should have had his red card overturned, but they should have banned Macherano too. Why leave it open to interpretation. If you hit/push/slap an opponent in the face you get a red card, if you kick an opponent off the ball the get a red card. Easy. Same rules for everyone and you ensure consistency.
