Title: Traveller's check..... Post by: MrsBoldie on March 06, 2008, 09:53:27 AM Boldie and I are off to Cuba in May for a very late honeymoon (exactly a year after the event!) but we aren't sure what form of currency to take with us.
I know that US dollars are a no-no and Scottish currency is not recognised (no suprise there). I believe you can only buy Cuban pesos over there. Does anyone know if it's OK to take traveller's cheques or should we take cash (and if so, in what currency?) Title: Re: Traveller's check..... Anything vaguely American seems to be a no-no. I don't think Scottish travellers cheques are a good idea either. Will have to find a Barclays or something before we go........ Not an easy task in deepest darkest West Lothian! |
