Title: CHIRP CHIRP! Post by: ifm on March 06, 2008, 04:02:34 PM Since being moved to permanent morning shifts i have been playing less and less poker and more and more darts.
Darts with me was always just a mild interest and because of this i have been a huge disappointment to many of my friends because i was so good as a youngster and just stopped playing for near 10 years. Anyway since late October i have had renewed interest and i have been informed i have been selected for the Warwickshire county squad for their next fixture v Buckinghamshire at the end of THIS month!! It's one thing going for the double to win a leg, another entirely knowing if you miss your average drops 2 or 3 points! As superleague is all about averages it isn't easy. I reckon first half dozen matches between 21-24 but last half dozen nearer 30 so running av about 26 odd. Just to point out that as these are best of 5 matches the averages are very volatile, whereas on telly the format is much longer and therefore it's easier to maintain a higher average.......
