Title: Music streaming Post by: technolog on March 14, 2008, 07:10:28 PM I was looking at buying a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device to make the sharing of data between desktop and lappie easier. Whilst perusing a LaCie Ethernet Disk Mini - Home Edition 500GB aI noticed it said it could stream music/video to hi-fi/tv via a UPnP player.
Does anyone know much about this? Can I get a box to attach to my stereo that will play music from this NAS disk without having the PC switched on? Is there a jukebox type selection screen displayed on the tv? If anyone would like to give me the benefit of their experience in this or point me to a site where I can research it more, I would be very grateful. In the course of my preliminary investigations (more Hetty Wainthropp than Magnum imo - fk mylife (© Miners 2008) I've become aware of the Soundbridge, can't remember the make, and the Sonos system. What can these beauties do? Title: Re: Music streaming Post by: Tractor on March 14, 2008, 08:48:55 PM Not sure if this is what your after but its the dogs wotsits when it comes to music streaming.
