And any info about where the places to be in Notts are?

Sigh not that I will be around, though at 28 I hardly count as a kid anymore.

Tonnes of places to go out in Nottingham, probably best starting in Hockley/Lace Market and then there are loads of places within stumbling distance.

Will probs meet @ the holiday inn and get a taxi into town (how far is it? walkable?), those places seem perfect to start, cheers.

I would just get a taxi, the holiday inn is the other side of Notts city centre so it would be at least a 1 mile walk. Need any more info, ask away. It is fair to say i have spent plenty of time getting drunk in Notts, its normally a pretty lively night out.

I am planning 2 go up 2 notts on the friday so will definitely be up 4 a few beverages

Bless is the place to go first, £1.85 double and mixer, then onto the club for 2 shots for a pound and double JD and coke for £2.50.

Well 4:1 is defo a myth. I think there was quite a significant difference post world war 2, from what i understand but that has all but disappeared in modern times.

Last time I went there someone was stabbed in the middle of the dancefloor!

This sums it up, apart from the last thing which I have never seen there but im normally too drunk to notice.

Its a typical commericial(ish) indie club.

So was I!  :D Not helped by going to the bar, buying a round of beers and then everyone telling me they didn't like it :-\

It must have gone down hill though if their was a stabbing on the dance floor as it used to be one of the most chilled clubs around. As others have said it was a great place to stumble around drunk trying to find some student bird at 2am.

The last time I drove through Nottingham I noticed that not one women/girl appeared to own a coat (at all) or a skirt longer then about 6 inches.

Most women were in fancy dress - either as fairies, nurses or devils or in a state of undress.

All the women were drunk.

Bizarre that the ratio to men and women is so out of balance. I would have thought men from all over the country would be coming to Nottingham for a night out?  :dontask:

It's about a 1:1 ratio I think, the 4:1 ratio was during the war when the women were manning the factories and the men were out getting shot.

actually as not every1 is staying there, the hol inn lot can meet there and meet the rest in town @ a bar.

so some one pick a decent bar that a taxi driver will have heard of.  that is near to the places to be.
