Title: Advice for a friend Post by: Jaydeaa on March 18, 2008, 11:20:50 PM Mate of mine last night won a seat in the WSOP race on Full Tilt last night, after qualifiying through the freeroles. Now he is 20 years old, and wont be old enough to play in Vagas for the WSOP, as its freeroles will full tilt give him the $ value of the package, or really is he screwed and all was a waste. He emailed full tilt and yet has no reply so hoping for some help!

Very educated response there, he was not thinking and only thought of it when i brough it to his attention RE: Age! Title: Re: Advice for a friend Post by: AndrewT on March 18, 2008, 11:29:18 PM Surely he hasn't won a seat. Full Tilt can't buy him in. All he has done is won a $ prize which Full Tilt suggest he spends on entering the WSOP.
Can't he just withdraw the cash? Full tilt being still open to the US customers means they couldn't buy people into the WSOP 07 and they just creditted players accounts with the buy in, leaving the player to buy in or run with the cash. Tell you mate to sit tight and stop drawing attention to himself. Title: Re: Advice for a friend Post by: Woodsey on March 19, 2008, 02:21:07 AM I'll play for him and I'll split the winnings 50/50, genuine offer lol
Title: Re: Advice for a friend Post by: alexross on March 19, 2008, 02:39:14 AM ft will just put the cash in his acc. there is no 3rd party wsop buyin.
Title: Re: Advice for a friend Post by: M3boy on March 19, 2008, 03:19:38 AM Not unless in their T & C somewhere it mentions an age restriction - if they know he is under 21 they could hold back the funds.
Well thats worse case scenario. Most probable outcome - FT will put the money in his account. End of Title: Re: Advice for a friend Post by: Dewi_cool on March 19, 2008, 08:51:40 AM surely his dob is in account details, full tilt have recently started using tourney$ similar to stars,he should be able to withdraw

Title: Re: Advice for a friend Post by: kenjude on March 19, 2008, 11:19:30 AM If they're expecting people to buy themselves in then I imagine they will be real dollars rather than tournament dollars.
The latter can usually only be used to buy into other tournaments - not much use for a WSOP satellite process. |
