Title: grand slam sunday bets
Post by: fergus8 on March 23, 2008, 12:26:30 AM
the last installment was pretty terrible imo.

but lets be positive...

double over 2.5 goals is 5-1

double over 3.5 goals is 16.5 -1

optimistic i know, but i like overs bets as your willing it to be a good spectacle

as for match odds i havnt a clue, both games could easily be home/away/draw, total minefield.

and for the pessimist ....

double nil nil correct score is 83-1

yeah ... just have a feeling they will be tight tense games.  too much at stake.

They usually are.  Sky builds them up, and they fail to deliver.

Hopefully, the Chelsea v Arsenal game is a spectacle, and Liverpool beat manu.  Liverpool are 4-1, which is probably accurate.

dead money kev, chels and manu ftw.

got a table booked to watch this at like, the only place in the country with prem footly but just realised it's an hours drive away and it's probs snowing so I'll stay at home and watch rhythmic gymnastics instead, my only other sporting option.

lol, funny you should mention that, nearly notched up number 3 yesterday. driving in a car with a non working drivers window so my mate had to throw his fag out the sunroof. it came back in, landed on me, I panicked and sent the fag flying. we then couldn't find the damn thing but could see a lot of smoke, luckily it stopped after a bit

sucker, I bet you drool over the 'grand slam' league table and the 'grand slam' head to heads too. Grand Slam is a marketing quote that the fools cant see thru. Its two games of footy that historically are toss and the fact that Sky have to invent phrases, tables and all kinds of advertising mumbo jumbo shows how bad football has got.

now enjoy!!

Lol the only person to blame for the sending off is Mascherano acting like a total tool.

Game over.

I can't stand Liverpool, but that was a ridiculous decision to book Torres and an even worse one to book Mascherano for an innocent approach.

laugh my arse off at the good cop bad cop between Gray and Redknapp. Well done the ref, at last an arrogant idiotic footballer put in his place, only another 1000 to go.

I'm a United fan and IMO the booking for Torres and the send off for Marscherano were a joke..... if you look at the replys they've hardly said a word. Typical football refs- Ashley Cole goes nuts so eery single ref is gonna be reactive and now start clamping down on "dissent"

No wonder footballers have no idea of the rules- offside, two footed tacked, late tackles and now dissent.

All in all though I'll take it on the day- CMON UNITED!!!

did double over 3.5  lost

double over 2.5  alive!!!!!!!!, thought it had no chance

double home teams    alive!!!!!!!, banker from sending off

early 2 goal lead from chelski would be nice, guarentees one line

ref got it right imo, im a big fan of mascheranos, but he was fouling and dissenting every time. school boy error, especially with steve bennett

though from a spectacle view-point the ref did destroy the game

I watched the match on a Spanish feed and did like this from the comm

Something like 'Mascherano tonto tonto, él bisela sea feliz con ése', which i think is summat like 'he wont be happy with that'

Im waiting for the full Skyfootballisms to transfer to other coverage,

'tome a hijo del arco', Take a bow son.

how anyone could have put money against Man Utd is beyond me....they were never going to drop points in a million year to Liverpool in that game!

and don't try to tell me that the sending off changed the result significantly....cos Man utd were always winning that, to much talent!

I had 3-1 Man Utd

as for chelsea v arsenal, it could have went either way however i just felt chelsea wanted it more (as much as i hate them) and so i stuck on 2-1...woohooo!

for a money back bet for my correct scores i stuck £10 on Man Utd / Chelsea double, returning £36

PS i missed all 6 goals in both games, as i was watching the mighty hoops during the man utd game, and cooking Daughters dinner during the 2nd half of chelsea game! lol
