Target level is 45. Bring it. I had a go at this yesterday after reading about it on Paul Phillip's blog. I'm sure they make some of the words up. I got up to 43. I was my County Spelling champion, U12 age group. Some time ago I try to propogate the use of these words every day, elucidating where necessary. Title: Re: Test your wordpower Post by: kinboshi on March 26, 2008, 12:30:19 PM Can't get beyond 42. But I will...

Tried once, got 39. A real bad beat, I thought 'moppet' meant a furry puppet, it's actually a child. Oh well. Must be a downswing. Title: Re: Test your wordpower Post by: cia260895 on March 26, 2008, 06:25:14 PM upto 39 but how many grains of rice are in a standard sack?

But the amount of people doing this all add up - it's been running in the USA for a while - doing a search I found this: Quote After a few minutes of research, I leaned that a cup of rice contains just over 7000 grains (about 7250). Because rice expands to three times its original size when it is cooked, this would equal three cups. A bowl of rice is probably equal to 1.5 cups (if you think its more that that, its probably because you live in America, where the portion sizes are astronomical). According to freerice.com, there have been 23,202,482,290 grains of rice donated as of 3/19/2008. So, about 6,400,684.8 bowls of rice have been donated thus far. That is enough to feed one bowl of rice to about a quarter of Nepal's total population. BTW Tighty I scraped up to Level 47 ;D Title: Re: Test your wordpower Post by: kinboshi on March 26, 2008, 06:35:14 PM upto 39 but how many grains of rice are in a standard sack? Is it an African sack or a European sack? Title: Re: Test your wordpower Post by: TightEnd on March 26, 2008, 06:37:57 PM 49 here
