Title: Leak in my game? Post by: UpTheMariners on March 27, 2008, 05:47:43 AM ok ive been hitting the cash games again this month after playing sngs for a few months. Its going well but im concerned with one of my stats which is win % at showdown which is at 43%. i go to showdown 23% and my af stats are F 5.75 T 5.50 R 3.02 (16k hands). do i need to be more aggressive on the river? i did think that my value bets might be too high but my aggression is only 3. should i be worried about this stat?
Title: Re: Leak in my game? Post by: Moskvich on March 27, 2008, 06:59:00 AM Why would being more aggressive on the river (ie betting more and calling less) help you to win more often at showdown? I'd have thought your AF stats would have more to do with your WonWhenSawFlop % than your WSD%, no..?
That said... as far as I'm aware a river AF of 3 is already fairly high. So logically, if your WSD% is only 43%, that would seem to suggest that yes, you're betting too much when you're behind - you're value betting too thin and/or picking bad spots to bluff and getting called too much. So if anything you might want to be less aggressive, not more. Become a nit like everyone else. Title: Re: Leak in my game? Post by: Longy on March 27, 2008, 09:13:25 AM Sample size?
Poor won at sd% tend to be a by product of a few things including running bad. In this case with your agg factors which look really high especially on turn and river, i would say you are pushing 2nd best hands off pots alot of the time on the turn/river instead of getting value from them and you are possibly not calling down enough in situations. |
